The fans of Bosch: Legacy are dealing with their withdrawal symptoms by focusing on the upcoming Ballard spin-off, which is set to air this summer. Renee Ballard was introduced in the final episode of Bosch: Legacy's final season, and she'll be the focus of Michael Connelly's universe moving forward. In an exclusive interview with The Best War Games, Gregory Scott Cummins talked about his final stint on Bosch: Legacy, and shared a hilarious story from the set.

Cummins is one half of the legendary duo, Crate and Barrel, who appeared in Bosch and Bosch: Legacy, and provided a lot of much-needed comic relief. Turns out, Gregory Scott Cummins is just as funny off-screen, and he's long been doing a self-deprecating routine that involves referring to himself as 'Mr Good-Looking'. He perfected the comedy routine on the set of Bosch, and continued it on Bosch: Legacy. During his very last time working on Bosch: Legacy, Cummins took the joke to a different level of brilliance with a clever twist.

Bosch: Legacy's Gregory Scott Cummins spoke to The Best War Games about Crate and Barrel, the cancelation and the upcoming Ballard spin-off.

Gregory Scott Cummins Had It Written Into His Bosch: Legacy Contract That He Must Be Referred To As 'Mr Good-Looking' In A Hilarious Jokecrate and barrel

Two key things to know about Gregory Scott Cummins: he doesn't take himself too seriously, and he most definitely doesn't have a huge ego like some A-list stars in the Hollywood industry. Cummins has a great sense of humor, and he's always cracking jokes on the set, one of which includes referring to himself as Mr Good Looking. One of the 'victims' of this routine was lead star, Titus Welliver. Cummins told The Best War Games:

It drove him crazy. He's been very jealous that I've been better looking than him all these years. Titus is attractive but not quite on my level. You can put this in the article, it'll crack him up.

When Cummins turned up to film his scenes in Bosch: Legacy's third and final season, he took the joke to the next level:

The last time on the Bosch: Legacy season 3 set, in the contract where they said 'preferred name' I put Mr. Good Looking. I also have it all written down on my medical paperwork. Everyone on set that day, all the crew members, light, sound, all the people that came to me, they had to call me Mr. Good Looking.

So, it's official, Gregory Scott Cummins is Mr Good-Looking, and failure to refer to him as such on the Bosch: Legacy set would result in a potential lawsuit. Of course, he's joking, and it's things like this bring a bit of joy to a set.

Cummins Has Been Joking Around With Titus Welliver On The Set Of Bosch And Bosch: Legacy About Who Was Better Looking For Years

Titus Welliver has worked alongside Gregory Scott Cummins for over ten years on the set of Bosch and Bosch: Legacy, and their chemistry on screen is mirrored by their gregarious nature when the camera is off. In an interview with The Best War Games, Cummins joked:

Every day on the set, I would walk in, and I would just tell everybody or tell him how much better looking I was. And it must be so difficult for him every day when I’m there. All of a sudden, he's second-best looking. And so that's why he would moan and groan every time I came onto the set, because all of a sudden, you know, he's been upstaged. It's been confirmed by Michael Connelly that I was hired because of my good looks to attract the female demographic.

An official response is needed from Titus Welliver to confirm if he thinks he is better-looking than Cummins in order to put the matter to rest. It's not quite on a par with finding out the real reason for Bosch: Legacy's strange cancelation, but the issue does need addressing. Just when Welliver thought this hilarious banter was over with Cummins on Bosch: Legacy, the legendary character actor involved Maggie Q and others with the banter during the filming of the final episode:

Titus and everybody else were just saying, "Oh my God, he's doing it with the crew now." Legally, everybody had to call me Mr. Good-looking when referring to me. Of course, I'm joking about this, or am I?

All jokes aside, Gregory Scott Cummins is so modest and down-to-earth, but he does take his craft very seriously. He opened up about an upcoming important event in his life linked to his portrayal of Crate Moore in Bosch and Bosch: Legacy:

Before she retired last year, Mitzi Roberts was on the board of the California Homicide Investigators Annual Conference. That is four days every year. Every homicide investigator in the state of California. She called me up, asking me if I'd like to be our keynote speaker for the California Homicide Investigators' conference on opening night.' I'm not a big star, not a big name or anything. 'I'm just a blue-collar actor here. 'I kept saying, 'Why me? I'm so honored. It's in August. I've never done anything like that.

This is a great honor for Cummins, and one he greatly deserves after his accurate portrayal of the legendary detective. Ask any Bosch fan, and they'll tell you Gregory Scott Cummins IS a big star who has spent his whole career playing a string of nuanced characters. Later in the interview, The Best War Games asked Cummins if he wanted to backtrack on what he said about Titus Welliver's looks:

No. He's better than average looking, but he's obviously not quite at my level. You can quote me on that. He accepts my reality.

Titus Welliver probably wishes he was hearing this joke a thousand more times on the set of Bosch: Legacy season 4, with Cummins, Troy Evans, Jamie Hector and the rest of the 'Bosch' family!
