  • Fans urged to sign petition, spread the word, and show support on social media platforms.

The Save Bosch: Legacy petition is one of the biggest ever fan-led campaigns to save a television show, amassing a staggering 35,000 signatures. The cancelation of Bosch: Legacy sparked an outcry from the loyal fanbase, who wanted a proper ending to Harry Bosch's story. Denise G. Sanchez, who portrayed Reina Vasquez on the spin-off show, put her full support behind the campaign during a recent interview with The Best War Games.

Sanchez is a member of the Save Bosch: Legacy campaign team, who are respectfully trying to persuade Amazon to give the show a reprieve. After an incredible arc for her character in Bosch: Legacy season 3, it's hard for the fans to accept that Vasquez's story is over now, with so much more to explore.

This Producer Is The Real 'Fearless Leader' Of Bosch: Legacy And His Input Is 'Overlooked'

Michael Connelly and Titus Welliver get well deserved credit for Bosch: Legacy, but there's one producer who is often overlooked.

Denise G. Sanchez Is Backing The Save Bosch: Legacy Petition To Succeed

Reina Vasquez was a great addition to the Bosch-verse, when she was introduced in Bosch: Legacy season 1 as Maddie Bosch's training officer in the LAPD. Denise G. Sanchez's role in Bosch: Legacy was significantly increased in the third and, sadly, final season with a stunning arc based around her nephew, Albert and his two friends being involved in a string of follow home robberies. It was a great showcase for Sanchez's acting skills, and a tease for future events. Unfortunately, Amazon stepped in and canceled Bosch: Legacy, leaving so many unanswered questions, and Reina Vasquez's story unfinished. Titus Welliver stated that 'the fans own the show now' after they launched the Save Bosch: Legacy petition, and Denise G. Sanchez has now revealed her role in the campaign during an interview with The Best War Games:

It's been really beautiful to see the fans support the show. I feel like it's picked up a bit more steam now. It took a while for people to catch on and there was so much I wanted to say, but I had to remain respectful. There was a lot that I didn't know. Even with the Save Bosch: Legacy group, I was proactive but silent because there were so many theories.

Sanchez Heaped Praise On The Fans For Their Support For Bosch: Legacy

Reina Vasquez undercover

One thing to know about the cast of Bosch: Legacy: they genuinely care about the fans who've supported the show over the years. As much as it's disappointing for the fans to lose a show they've loved for a long time, it's even more devastating for the cast and crew who've worked long hours to make the magic happen. Denise G. Sanchez has worked hard to create the character of Reina Vasquez, and she appreciates the fans and their support for her and the show:

Once the petition got on the ground and the fans were having the discussion, and again, just watching them be in disbelief, but also being so proactive. 'We can't let this happen.' It sparked so much joy and gratefulness. My gratitude goes out to the fans and everybody who helped create this petition, because they did a lot of the work. I think I was in so much shock and too emotionally involved to do anything positive at that moment. I was frozen. Not only is it a cool show, but you have really dope people attached to it. How is this ending?

Sanchez is one of those 'dope' people attached to Bosch: Legacy, and the fans are in total agreement: it is a very cool show, and they'll do everything in their power to save it. The support of Sanchez and other members of the Bosch: Legacy cast, including Titus Welliver, is huge. They are doing it with love and respect, and it's not an attack on Amazon. They love the show just as much as the fans do, and they feel that same sense of disappointment. Harry Bosch will make cameo appearances in Ballard, and Crate and Barrel will appear in one scene, but it's not known if Reina Vasquez or any other Bosch: Legacy characters will make appearances. This is why Bosch: Legacy's continuation is so important, because Ballard is its own thing, and will feature a brand-new set of characters, leaving not much room for legacy characters (pun intended).
