Botanical Allies is the fourth chapter in Botany Manor, and it tasks players with growing four different plants. As is the case in the preceding chapters, each plant in Chapter 4 only blooms under certain conditions, though fans may not always know exactly what those conditions are. This walkthrough is intended for players that find themselves in that situation, and it will help them grow every plant in Botany Manor Chapter 4.

This walkthrough uses proper names for many of the locations in Botany Manor. Those names appear on the maps near the beginning of the in-game Herbarium, and fans should use those visual aids to pinpoint locations when necessary.

While there are dozens of puzzle games for fans to choose from, some of these titles are nearly impossible to complete.

Botany Manor: Chapter 4 Walkthrough

Solve Library Puzzle

There is a puzzle on the first floor of the Library that centers around pressing circles in a certain order, and players should solve it as soon as they start Chapter 4. Here is exactly how that is done, and fans of puzzle games will gain access to a hidden room as soon as they press the final circle:

  1. Press the sun.
  2. Press the fish.
  3. Press the rabbit.
  4. Press the bird.
  5. Press the moon.

This solution is determined by examining the books in the Library, taking note of the times of day during which the stories take place ("bright morning," "midday," etc.), and pressing the circles in chronological order.

Grow Sapphire Gloom

After solving the Library puzzle, players should enter the room that is revealed and collect the Study key from the table that is inside. Fans of indie video games should then use that key to enter the Study, which is on the other side of the Library Hall, and collect the Sapphire Gloom seed packet that is sitting on a small table near the bookshelves. Players should then focus on growing the Sapphire Gloom, and here is how that is done:

  1. Go to the planting station in the manor's Vestibule.
  2. Fill a pot with potting soil, select Sapphire Gloom from the seed inventory, and interact with the green watering can.
  3. Carry the watered Sapphire Gloom into the Main Hall, and place it on the saucer at the base of the tree.

The Mushroom Book and Tree Diseases, both of which are found in the Study, are the keys to understanding that the manor's tree is directly connected to making the Sapphire Gloom bloom.

Grow Cradle Fern

Growing the Sapphire Gloom will make it possible to enter the Corridor on the first floor. This Corridor gives fans of relaxing video games access to the Master Bedroom, and they will find the Cradle Fern seed packet sitting on the writing desk in that room. Once that packet has been collected, fans should follow these steps to grow a Cradle Fern:

  1. Go to the planting station in the Corridor.
  2. Fill a pot with potting soil, select Cradle Fern from the seed inventory, and interact with the green watering can.
  3. Carry the watered Cradle Fern to the top of the Belltower, and place it on the saucer under the bells.
  4. Interact with the bells in this order: ECDEGF.

The Fern Painting in the Corridor depicts the Cradle Fern with eggs on top of it. The Bird Eggs in the Study confirm that the eggs from the painting belong to the Crested Owl, and the Bird Calls document at the top of the Bell Tower reveals that its song can be recreated by playing ECDEGF.

Grow Nightfall

Players should now grab the Attic key that is sitting on the small table on the first floor of the Belltower. Fans of immersive sims should then follow these steps to grow the Nightfall:

  1. Collect the Nightfall seed packet from a table in the corner of the room that becomes accessible after solving the Library puzzle.
  2. Go to the planting station in the Corridor.
  3. Fill a pot with potting soil, select Nightfall from the seed inventory, and interact with the green watering can.
  4. Carry the watered Nightfall to the top floor of the Attic, and place it on the saucer in front of the Magic Lantern.
  5. Put a blue slide into the Magic Lantern's first slot.
  6. Put a yellow slide into the Magic Lantern's second slot.
  7. Put an orange slide into the Magic Lantern's third slot.
  8. Put a red slide into the Magic Lantern's fourth slot.
  9. Press the red button the Magic Lantern.

The Fairy Painting in the Corridor depicts a spotted insect inside the Nightfall, and the Moths Poster in the Attic reveals that it is a Garden Tiger Moth. The Moth Calendar in the Attic confirms that the Garden Tiger is active in September, and the Sunset Paintings in the Library reveal that the color pattern for that month is blue, yellow, orange, red.

Grow Brook Chalice

Once the Nightfall has bloomed, players should grab the Brook Chalice seed packet from the table near the Attic's stained glass window. Fans of cozy video games should then pick up the Rusty Pig that is sitting on the table to the left of the Magic Lantern, and place it in the bathtub in the Master Bedroom's Bathroom. Players should then use the piping that is scattered around the Bathroom to repair the Bath Geyser, and then follow these steps to grow the Brook Chalice:

  1. Go to the planting station in the Corridor.
  2. Fill a pot with potting soil, select Brook Chalice from the seed inventory, and interact with the green watering can.
  3. Carry the watered Brook Chalice into the Bathroom, and place it on the saucer in the bathtub.
  4. Confirm that the Rusty Pig is in the bathtub.
  5. Set the Bath Geyser to 25.
  6. Turn on the bathtub's faucet.

The Government Notice and River Trust in the Belltower reveal that the River Frome was not treated with weed killer, and that it had no rust pollution (despite being a site for the dumping of scrap metal). The River Poster in the Belltower reveals that the average temperature of the River Frome is 25.

Go to Formal Garden

After all four flowers have bloomed, players should make their way to the Gatehouse and collect the Formal Garden key from the basket. Fans of educational video games should then use that key to open the gate in the Rose Garden, which is accessed via the Back Terrace on the right side of the Screens Passage.
