Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD Remaster joined a variety of games that released alongside the Switch 2. The remaster takes players on an epic journey as they fight against evil forces and learn powerful abilities. With the use of "Braves" and "Defaults," players get to experience a strategically tactile, turn-based combat system.

Players have help as they travel across a monster-infested land called Luxendarc in the form of party members. Each party member plays a vital role in the story, so here's when all the party members in Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD unlock.

Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD Remaster party members

There is a slight friction between the party members as they struggle to trust one another, but they agree that they are stronger together. Agnès, Ringabel, Edea, and Tiz are the only playable characters. However, players aren't limited to a single fighting style, as all party members can switch between the 24 available jobs.

Jobs are unlocked by defeating the main quest and sub-scenario bosses and collecting their Asterisks. Jobs range from melee and ranged skills to magical powers. Players can experiment with their party combos to create a well-balanced team as they fight enemies throughout the land.

Players can level up their Jobs by earning JP by fighting monsters and bosses. As they get stronger, they unlock special abilities, debuffs, and combat maneuvers. Leveling up all the Jobs simultaneously can take a while, but they all have unique movesets. Magic users get multi-target spells and stronger status healing and damage buffs. Players must purchase the corresponding Spell Scroll if they want to use spells.

How to Summon Friends in Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD

Recruit Friends and Passing Souls to Help with Combat

Players can also recruit temporary help from Passing Souls throughout the towns. Network Functions must be enabled and connected to the internet for this feature to function. Passing Souls are translucent characters surrounded by colorful markers. These are the souls of other players in the world, and once approached, they are added to the Friend List. Then, they can be summoned during battles to help out.

Passing Souls can range from low to high levels, so you might find one with a mighty move.

Players can summon their friends' characters in Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD Remaster using a similar method if they register them in the game. While this isn't an explicit multiplayer feature, it does allow players to share abilities and help their friends out in combat. The game also has AI Friends that appear whenever there are no Passing Souls or friends around. Summoning friends during battles is handy whenever magic users run out of MP. They can still deal decent damage if they have low melee stats.
