Summary

  • Brawlhalla adds Mega Man as a crossover skin for a September event.
  • Brawlhalla's past collaborations include Borderlands, WWE, Star Wars, and more.
  • Mega Man will likely be a skin for a Cannon-type Legend like Isaiah or Seven.

Ubisoft's free-to-play platform fighter Brawlhalla announced another Capcom collaboration, adding the iconic Mega Man as a crossover skin for later this September. Brawlhalla is a platform fighter similar to Multiversus and Super Smash Bros., with the goal being to knock the opponent off the stage. Like the latter two games, Brawlhalla has seen all sorts of crossovers ever since its initial October 2017 launch. While Brawlhalla has a roster of 61 different playable characters, Ubisoft has added skins for these fighters based on all sorts of properties. Past collaborations include the likes of Steven Universe, Halo, the WWE, and Star Wars.

The most recent collaboration Brawlhalla had was a crossover with Gearbox's Borderlands and its Vault Hunters Event, adding plenty of new crossover content to the game. It came at a good time too, as while Brawlhalla had been adding plenty of new features to the game, it had been going without crossover content for a while, the last collaboration event being in February. Brawlhalla is getting another wave of collaboration content later this September, where Capcom's iconic blue bomber Mega Man will be joining the roster as a crossover skin.

The new teaser trailer starts with Kor, one of Brawlhalla's playable Legends, descending onto the stage and forming itself. This is followed by Mega Man appearing on the stage, using his franchise's iconic teleportation light beam and 8-bit sound effects. Mega Man then dons his helmet and poses with his Mega Buster, revealing his robotic canine companion Rush and bird buddy Beat will be included in this crossover. According to the trailer and official Twitter account, the Mega Man crossover event will start on September 25.

Brawlhalla Mega Man Event Start Date

  • September 25, 2024

No other details about this crossover have been revealed yet, other than its start date. Since Mega Man's primary weapon is his Mega Buster, it's very likely he'll be a skin for one of Brawlhalla's Cannon-type Legends, like Isaiah or Seven. Seven has the most similarities to Mega Man, with her having a cannon as her main weapon and using various gadgets to fight, so it's likely that Mega Man will be a skin for her.

This isn't the first time that Capcom has collaborated with Ubisoft and Blue Mammoth Games' platform fighter, as Brawlhalla got Street Fighter characters back in 2021, adding Ryu, Chun-Li, and Akuma as paid crossover skins. Fans can download Brawlhalla for free to get prepared for this upcoming Capcom crossover.
