Summary

  • Brawlhalla and Star Wars collaborate for the new May the 4th Wave 2 event on April 30, featuring playable character General Grievous.
  • The event also introduces the Small Theed Generator map, an Asgardian Greal Lightsaber, and a Death Star Hologram Orb.

Ubisoft and Blue Mammoth Games announced General Grievous from Star Wars: Episode 3 - Revenge of the Sith is coming to Brawlhalla with the game's next update. The update continues the collaboration between Brawlhalla and Star Wars from 2024, which saw iconic characters like Han Solo and The Mandalorian join the platform fighting game.

Brawlhalla has a long history of crossover events with renowned franchises like Assassin's Creed, Mega Man, Street Fighter, Destiny 2, and Star Wars, to name a few. In December 2024, Brawlhalla launched its second collaboration with Star Wars, adding playable characters like Kay Vess, Nix, Han Solo, Chewbacca, The Mandalorian, and Grogu from the iconic sci-fi universe. It's worth noting that these Star Wars characters act like skins for existing characters in Brawlhalla and don't have altered or new move-sets, but they do wield their signature weapons, including lightsabers.

Star Wars Outlaws is Getting Free DLC

Players will soon be able to get their hands on new DLC for Star Wars Outlaws, free of charge.

A new trailer for Brawlhalla was released on the game's official Twitter account, giving fans a preview of the upcoming Star Wars-themed "May the 4th Wave 2" event, which starts on April 30. The event will introduce General Grievous as a new playable character, along with the Small Theed Generator map, an Asgardian Greal Lightsaber, a Death Star Hologram Orb, and much more for players to enjoy. The trailer features gameplay footage of General Grievous against other playable characters from Brawlhalla, and the end of the video shows General Grievous added to the key art from Brawlhalla's previous Star Wars collaboration, implying that the items and characters from Wave 1 will return for those who may have missed out on the event.

Brawlhalla and Star Wars Collaborate for a New Event Featuring General Grievous

Many Star Wars fans on Twitter are excited about the new event for Brawlhalla, but some fans are disappointed that Wave 2 doesn't feature Yoda. Brawlhalla player @ExileBH wanted Yoda to be a new skin for Wu Shang, and other players were hoping for balance patches instead of another collaboration event. At the very least, Brawlhalla receives new updates on a monthly basis, so the balance changes and adjustments that fans have been wanting may come at a later date.

After the May the 4th Wave 2 event begins in Brawlhalla, Star Wars fans can look forward to the release of the "A Pirate's Fortune" DLC for Star Wars Outlaws on May 15. In the new DLC, Kay Vess and Nix team up with Hondo Ohnaka on a new adventure that takes place after the events of the main game.
