Challenges are required to unlock the last few weapons in Battlefield 6, and some of the game's best SMGs are locked behind Close Quarters challenges. There are several Submachine Guns to choose from in Battlefield 6, but you can only get the final two by completing those Close Quarters challenges.
The SL9 and SCW-10 are the two Submachine Guns tied to Close Quarters challenges, and they're both exceptional close-range guns. The SCW-10, in particular, is chambered in 10mm and offers much higher stopping power than other weapons in its class. Here's how to complete both Close Quarters challenges in Battlefield 6 so you can unlock these two SMGs.
Why Some CoD Players Struggled with Battlefield 6
Call of Duty instincts don’t carry over to Battlefield 6 well, and the beta revealed just how unforgiving the shift between the two shooters can feel.
How to Complete Battlefield 6 Close Quarters Challenges
To complete Close Quarters challenges in Battlefield 6, you have to get kills under specific conditions with SMGs during multiplayer matches. Weapon challenges are locked until you reach Rank 23 in multiplayer, so you can't start working on them until you have enough experience.
You can check your Close Quarters challenge progress in the Challenges section of the main menu. You'll find it under Assignments > Weapon.

SMGs excel at close range, and the Close Quarters challenges require you to get up close and personal with enemy squads. As such, you should avoid big maps and large-scale game modes if you want to get these challenges done quickly.
Deathmatch modes, King of the Hill, and Escalation are perfect for farming SMG kills in close quarters. You can also try smaller objective-based modes like Rush if you're struggling to get multi-kills since enemies will naturally converge around objectives. You can do a custom multiplayer search and uncheck the boxes next to any maps and modes you want to avoid.
Thankfully, the Close Quarters challenge requirements don't seem as intensive as other Battlefield 6 weapon challenges. Getting multi-kills is the hardest part, but you only need to get 20 of them to complete the challenge. Plus, you can use any class you want if you choose an open weapon playlist.
