The Call of Duty franchise has been a huge commercial success and the latest venture into the crowded battle royale genre has been generally well-received. Call of Duty: Warzone has managed to add the widely acclaimed mechanics of the franchise to a battle royale game mode, but there have been issues with players cheating. It seems that the latest way to cheat the in the title has been found in the Airport area and players may want to avoid the dropzone if they want a fair game.
The free-to-play Call of Duty title excited many fans who had been anticipating the franchise to move into a last-person standing format. Unfortunately, the developer of Call of Duty: Warzone, Infinity Ward, has already had to ban 50,000 players from the game because of cheating and it seems that players are still managing to exploit the game. It will be interesting to see how the latest issue is dealt with.
Players have used a truck to help them glitch into a wall when crouched, this gives them the ability to shoot players whilst appearing invisible. The theory is that when a truck is parked in a narrow space, players can become clipped into the wall by the game. The video clip below shows what happened to an unfortunate player on Call of Duty: Warzone when they ran into an opponent using this technique.
The player has tagged his post under the support section of the Warzone subreddit and many will hope that Infinity Ward addresses the issue quickly. The developer has already fixed issues in Call of Duty: Warzone, but it seems there is still work to be done in order to create a level playing field and a more enjoyable experience for everyone. With the huge audience that plays the Call of Duty games, there is a high expectation for the quality of the titles and bugs certainly impact how players feel towards games.
Players have been vocal about the issues in Call of Duty: Warzone but it has still largely been a welcome change of pace implemented by the franchise. Whether Infinity Ward can quickly fix these issues or if the developer will need to ban more players remains to be seen. What is clear is that players want these issues rectified as quickly as possible so that they can get back to enjoying a fair game.
