Activision Has Bad News for Modern Warfare 3 Players Moving to Black Ops 6
Activision shares disappointing news for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 players looking to make the jump to Black Ops 6 in October.
In a new post on the Call of Duty: Zombies subreddit, user Sonicmining revealed an interesting Easter egg they discovered. Apparently, the Gala map in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 features a throwback to the Shadow of Evil Zombies map. Players can hear the theme of the iconic map playing in the background when they go near the stage at the center of the map. It might be a bit tricky to hear the music in the post, but players should be able to hear it if they pay close attention to it.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Fans Divided Over Shadows of Evil Easter Egg
Fans have expressed mixed feelings towards the Easter egg. While some were quite nostalgic about the iconic map, others noted that the use of assets from past games has become quite monotonous at this point, and doesn't have the same appeal as before. Players noted that the Zombies mode from the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 era was much more engaging and the developers should focus on recreating something similar in modern titles.
That being said, the Easter egg has sparked a fresh set of speculation in the community with players hoping that it has deeper significance. Many in the community think that the developers are possibly hinting towards the release of a sequel to the popular Call of Duty Zombies Chronicles expansion in the coming days. Zombies Chronicles was released as part of Black Ops 3 and brought back eight remastered classic maps from Call of Duty: World at War, Black Ops, and Black Ops 2. However, as some fans noted, that could be quite far-fetched considering that Call of Duty has moved away from the original DLC method for post-launch content.

Forced to go rogue. Hunted from within. This is Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
Developed by Treyarch and Raven, Black Ops 6 is a spy action thriller set in the early 90s, a period of transition and upheaval in global politics, characterized by the end of the Cold War and the rise of the United States as a single superpower. With a mind-bending narrative, and unbound by the rules of engagement, this is signature Black Ops.
The Black Ops 6 Campaign provides dynamic moment-to-moment gameplay that includes a variety of play spaces with blockbuster set pieces and action-packed moments, high-stakes heists, and cloak-and-dagger spy activity.
In a best-in-class Multiplayer experience, players will test their skills across 16 new maps at launch, including 12 core 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps that can be played 2v2 or 6v6.
Black Ops 6 also marks the epic return of Round-Based Zombies, the fan-favorite mode where players will take down hordes of the undead in two brand-new maps at launch. Post-launch, players can look forward to even more exciting maps and groundbreaking experiences dropping into both Multiplayer and Zombies.
