- The problem persists with the latest Christmas Double XP event, with players reporting lower than expected XP rates.
Gamers think that the latest Double XP event in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone is not delivering the XP rates promised by Treyarch. This has been a problem with a few different Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Double XP events, but it appears that the problem persists.
Since the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Treyarch has launched several different Double XP events for the game. When one ends, it isn't long before the next one begins, making them more common than ever. It has been slightly controversial among the community, with some feeling as though they've been too frequent this time around. Once upon a time, Double XP events would happen once or twice per game cycle, but those days are long gone now. There's no doubt that it increases player activity, so it's understandable why Treyarch has gone down this route.
A tweet from CharlieINTEL pointed out that the Christmas Double XP event in Black Ops 6 and Warzone does not appear to offer players a 2x XP rate. It also claims that players using a 2XP token are getting more XP than those on standard Double XP, offering extra credence to the claims. Many gamers responded to CharlieINTEL's tweet claiming to have faced the same issue, with one player claiming that rates are as low as 1.2x XP. Some did respond that they seem to be receiving the full 2x XP rates, meaning it doesn't seem to be an issue for every single Black Ops 6 player.
Black Ops 6 and Warzone Double XP Event Isn't Giving 2x XP to Some Players
This isn't the first time this problem has reared its head. Gamers have been complaining about the XP rates not being right as early as Black Ops 6's first Double XP event, and it seems as though Treyarch has not yet addressed the issue. It's unclear what is causing the problem, but hopefully, it's not something that persists throughout the entire year, as given current rates, there are sure to be plenty more Black Ops 6 Double XP events throughout 2025.
Double XP or not, Black Ops 6 players have plenty to look forward to in 2025. It was recently announced that the Call of Duty x Squid Game collaboration will release on January 3, bringing new Operator skins, weapon blueprints, and more, all based on the popular TV series that recently premiered on Netflix. Treyarch has ensured there hasn't been a content draught in Black Ops 6, and there's no reason to believe it will start in 2025.

Forced to go rogue. Hunted from within. This is Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
Developed by Treyarch and Raven, Black Ops 6 is a spy action thriller set in the early 90s, a period of transition and upheaval in global politics, characterized by the end of the Cold War and the rise of the United States as a single superpower. With a mind-bending narrative, and unbound by the rules of engagement, this is signature Black Ops.
The Black Ops 6 Campaign provides dynamic moment-to-moment gameplay that includes a variety of play spaces with blockbuster set pieces and action-packed moments, high-stakes heists, and cloak-and-dagger spy activity.
In a best-in-class Multiplayer experience, players will test their skills across 16 new maps at launch, including 12 core 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps that can be played 2v2 or 6v6.
Black Ops 6 also marks the epic return of Round-Based Zombies, the fan-favorite mode where players will take down hordes of the undead in two brand-new maps at launch. Post-launch, players can look forward to even more exciting maps and groundbreaking experiences dropping into both Multiplayer and Zombies.
