Major Changes From Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 to Black Ops 6
Despite the annualized nature of the franchise, Call of Duty introduces several new features to the base gameplay with each passing entry. But this ye
As with every new CoD multiplayer experience, Black Ops 6 brings players new maps to explore and master. New maps are fun and interesting, but players love it when the devs decide to bring back an old favorite (such as Nuketown, which is available in BO6). Some classic Black Ops maps, however, remain forgotten and have yet to return. Here's a list of the best forgotten maps from Black Ops games that should return in BO6.

Hanoi was a medium-sized map in the first Black Ops that was set at night and located in a Vietnamese prison. The map was dark and dingy, setting a great atmosphere that fit Black Ops 1's covert theme — and the game's Cold War time period.
Hanoi had a lot of character, and it featured Treyarch's successful three-lane system, but in a more complex manner than other maps in the game. It hasn't returned in any capacity for Call of Duty since its introduction, but it's a map that many have fond memories of, so perhaps the devs are eying it up for resurrection in Black Ops 6. It would be amazing to see the moon-lit map remastered, as the evolution of graphical capabilities would allow the devs to make Hanoi look much more impressive than its original version.
5 Kawloon (Black Ops 1)
Forgotten Rooftops Of Hong Kong

Kawloon was a DLC map in Black Ops 1, but it quickly became a popular map among players due to its connection with the campaign and hectic design. The map was taken from the campaign mission "Numbers," and players have likely forgotten about this map as it was only available via DLC.
Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 – 9 Zombie Maps That Need Remakes
There is a great selection of Zombies maps that would make for an incredible time in Black Ops 6 with a potential Zombies Chronicles 2.
Kawloon saw players jumping between rooftops in Hong Kong. It was a fairly small map but had two zip lines to help players get from one rooftop to another. This left players exposed but had a sense of risk and reward that many couldn't resist. The map's atmosphere was moody, with rain pelting the rooftops; it could be remade beautifully with modern capabilities in terms of graphical fidelity.
4 Berlin Wall (Black Ops 1)
Buried In History
Call of Duty: Black Ops

- November 9, 2010
- Developer(s)
- Treyarch

- Activision
- Platform(s)
- PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, Nintendo DS, PC
- Genre(s)

An iconic DLC map from Black Ops 1 with an extremely famous historical setting, Berlin Wall has yet to be remade in Call of Duty. The map was unique in that it featured a no-mans' land in the center that saw players destroyed by automated turrets if they tried to trespass. This cut the map into two sections, but there was a small pathway to get from one side to the other.
The unique layout made for some interesting gameplay, favoring those who prefer to camp with a sniper or long-ranged weapon. The map is yet to be remade, likely due to its historical setting that only really fit the Cold War era. However, it would be great to perhaps see an updated version of the map in Black Ops 6, one where the Berlin Wall is crumbled after the protests in 1989.
3 Villa (Black Ops 1)
An Estate Fit For A Cuban King
Call of Duty: Black Ops
- Released
- November 9, 2010
- Developer(s)
- Treyarch

- Activision
- Platform(s)
- PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, Nintendo DS, PC

Villa is one of the more complicated and larger maps in Black Ops 1, featuring a grand estate set in Cuba. It had a memorable layout, with a circular driveway to the estate that was a dangerous area to walk through, as well as side routes to get into the mansion.
Every Call Of Duty Direct Sequel Game, Ranked
The Call of Duty franchise has had its highs and lows. Here's how all of the mainline direct sequel games fared, and how they rank up.
This map had a great flow and a nice variety of ranges, as players would often find close-quarters combat inside the estate, but along the sides and other routes, medium-ranged guns and even snipers ran riot. It has not been seen since Black Ops 1, making it a great option for a remaster, as many would have never played it, and those who did will be glad to see it enhanced with modern graphics.
2 Carrier (Black Ops 2)
On The Open Waves
Call of Duty: Black Ops II
A map with an adventurous setting, Carrier from Black Ops 2 puts players on the open seas — more specifically, a Chinese aircraft carrier. This map was fairly open, but it also had a lot of cover, which resulted in a good variety of viable weapons and ranges on the map. The map was designed extremely well, with cover created by aircraft, containers, and other objects that players would find on a carrier.
An exploded aircraft in the middle of the map created a king-of-the-hill situation, as players could climb to the top of it and get some advantageous angles. The map also featured some discreet side routes, presenting flanking opportunities, sneaky angles, and smart plays to avoid the hectic gunfights that were usually found in the map's center.
1 Plaza (Black Ops 2)
A Prestigious Resort
Call of Duty: Black Ops II
Lastly, there is Plaza, a map that is rarely spoken about but was extremely popular among players. Set on a floating resort in the Indian Ocean, players battled it out in a luxurious shopping mall at night, featuring bright colors and lights. Plaza's charm wasn't just its luxurious setting either, as its three-lane layout was delicately crafted, creating a great flow and balance between close and medium-ranged gunfights.
Tight corners inside buildings, lines of sight across storefronts, and purposely placed cover meant that players had the freedom to use whatever weapon they wanted, whether it be a sniper or SMG. Despite being one of Black Ops 2's fan-favorite maps, it seems to have been forgotten, making it a great candidate for bringing back to the franchise.
