Black Ops 6 has broken yet another record by becoming the Call of Duty game with the most successful launch month ever. In doing so, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 outperformed its predecessors in a few different areas to come out on top.
Since hitting the shelves last month, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has been unstoppable, gaining critical acclaim as well as attracting a historic number of players. In an earlier announcement, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella labeled Black Ops 6 as "the biggest" COD release in history, while confirming that the Xbox Game Pass day-one title had also set new records for the gaming subscription service. Now, the devs have revealed the various fronts on which the newly released FPS has outshined previous entries.
Black Ops 6 has emerged as "the biggest Call of Duty ever," based on its performance in the first 30 days since launch. During this period, the Treyarch-led game recorded the most total players, most hours played, and the highest number of total matches compared to any other COD title for the same duration. Sharing their excitement, one fan emphasized that Black Ops 6 was the best COD game "in YEARS." On the other hand, one Call of Duty player expressed keen interest in the post-launch content planned for the action game.
Treyarch Celebrates Black Ops 6's Monumental Success with In-Game Rewards
To mark the special occasion, Treyarch announced player rewards, such as in-game modes and boosts, being added to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 this week. The original Black Ops studio stated that game modes, including Prop Hunt, Stakeout 24/7, and Hardcore Stakeout 24/7, are rolling out on Wednesday, November 27. In addition to that, the 2XP period, which usually starts from the weekend, has been extended and is scheduled to kick off on the same day as the modes become available. In the comments, many players thanked the devs for the in-game goodies, especially the forthcoming game modes. Noticeably, some of them also used this opportunity to bring more attention to the game's cheating problem, which infamously started as soon as Black Ops 6's beta version hit the stores.
As is commonly the issue with games having online modes, there is a considerable population of cheaters in Call of Duty games spoiling others' experience. In order to combat the problem, this year, Activision's Ricochet anti-cheat system is also leveraging the power of AI to filter out those who play foul. Given that there are new anti-cheat measures in place, Call of Duty players would hope that their inclusion eradicates this age-old pain point for the franchise. However, it will take some time to establish if the new techniques are significantly effective against cheaters.

Black Ops 6 also marks the epic return of Round-Based Zombies, the fan-favorite mode where players will take down hordes of the undead in two brand-new maps at launch. Post-launch, players can look forward to even more exciting maps and groundbreaking experiences dropping into both Multiplayer and Zombies.
