  • There have been mixed reactions to the rumored Avalon map in Black Ops 6.

With the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 getting closer, a screenshot from one of its multiplayer maps has players speculating about the possibility of the map Avalon being included as part of the title's Warzone integration. Since the game was announced, players worldwide have been trying to guess which maps will come with Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and what the title might represent for the future of Warzone and the gaming experience around it.

For a good while now, players have only had Urzikstan as the one big map in Warzone, which is something that's set to change in 2025 with the various updates planned for the battle royale. While many PC players were reportedly unhappy with issues around the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 beta, others have taken to analyzing footage from various sources to try to discover new maps and information about the upcoming content.

Recently, a screenshot of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 trailer shared on Twitter by user Geeky Pastimes showed an aerial view of a multiplayer map from the game, which, among other things, appeared to have areas that were abnormally detailed. Players quickly came to the conclusion that the area shown on the post could be the upcoming Avalon map. While the announcement of Verdansk returning to Call of Duty: Warzone in spring 2025 makes it unlikely for Avalon to be released within a similar timeframe, Geeky Pastimes' observations could suggest that the map is already in development and might be released in late 2025. Other sources indicate Avalon might be in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, just not as a playable Warzone map.

The addition of Avalon to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has reportedly received mixed responses, with some of the franchise's fans being excited about it, while others being worried about what they'd seen. Some of the opposing comments touched on the fact that there appeared to be tons of open fields and water, which have reportedly been fairly unpopular with the game's community over time.

With the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 open beta and its confirmed maps released from August 30 to September 9, players got a chance to experience the game more than a month prior to its official release. And while some have solely focused on perfecting their skills, others have kept exploring, trying to find anything that could hint at future game additions to be integrated into Warzone.

While a few things, such as the removal of certain Zombies features from Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 have already been confirmed, others, such as the potential release date for Avalon, and whether it will be in the game, even without immediate integration into Warzone, are still a mystery. For now, curious players will have to wait patiently until the game releases to get more answers to their most burning questions.

Forced to go rogue. Hunted from within. This is Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.

Developed by Treyarch and Raven, Black Ops 6 is a spy action thriller set in the early 90s, a period of transition and upheaval in global politics, characterized by the end of the Cold War and the rise of the United States as a single superpower. With a mind-bending narrative, and unbound by the rules of engagement, this is signature Black Ops.

The Black Ops 6 Campaign provides dynamic moment-to-moment gameplay that includes a variety of play spaces with blockbuster set pieces and action-packed moments, high-stakes heists, and cloak-and-dagger spy activity.

In a best-in-class Multiplayer experience, players will test their skills across 16 new maps at launch, including 12 core 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps that can be played 2v2 or 6v6.

Black Ops 6 also marks the epic return of Round-Based Zombies, the fan-favorite mode where players will take down hordes of the undead in two brand-new maps at launch. Post-launch, players can look forward to even more exciting maps and groundbreaking experiences dropping into both Multiplayer and Zombies.
