Summary
- Visibility issues plague some Black Ops 6 Weapon Blueprints, hindering gameplay.
- Mecha-Drake Blueprint hinders player vision when adding a scope, highlighting a recurring paid content problem.
A Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 player online has noticed a glaring problem with one of the game's paid Weapon Blueprints. This issue could prove to be severe enough that players would simply not be able to use the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Weapon Blueprint.
While Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 was largely received well by players at launch, gamers have not held back in sharing their feedback with Treyarch whenever an issue pops up that affects their game. Overall, the studio has been pretty receptive to the feedback so far, even if it hasn't been able to solve every problem with the game. For example, skill-based matchmaking has come in for its fair share of criticism, with many players feeling whiplash between lobbies that are too easy and far too difficult. It has even reached the point where some Black Ops 6 players are encouraging each other to quit games rather than see them out and get destroyed by far superior players.
Redditor KevinGO1900 discovered after buying the Draconic Forge Mastercraft pack, that the Mecha-Drake Weapon Blueprint has serious visibility problems. When they put a scope on the Black Ops 6 weapon and preview it in the Firing Range, the flames from the custom design cover the player's view entirely. If it were to be used in a matchmaking game, they'd be completely unable to kill anyone, at least not on purpose. Gamers in the thread were largely critical of Treyarch over the issue, although one joked that they would use this for hip-fire kills and drop it for enemies to potentially pick up.
Black Ops 6's Mecha-Drake Weapon Blueprint Has Visibility Problems
Unfortunately, this isn't the first time this issue has appeared in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. In early December 2024, players noticed that the Season 1 BlackCell Battle Pass' Saug SMG Weapon Blueprint had similar visibility problems in Black Ops 6. While the issues were not quite as pronounced as the ones found in the Mecha-Drake Weapon Blueprint, it's still frustrating that paid content is giving players these kinds of problems.
January 3 will see the release of the Call of Duty x Squid Game collaboration, which is set to bring its own Operator skins and Weapon Blueprints, among other things. Hopefully, those Weapon Blueprints won't suffer from the same issues that players experience with others. Treyarch has yet to announce any potential date for Season 2 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, but with Season 1 Reloaded coming out at the start of December 2024, it likely shouldn't be too far away.

Forced to go rogue. Hunted from within. This is Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
Developed by Treyarch and Raven, Black Ops 6 is a spy action thriller set in the early 90s, a period of transition and upheaval in global politics, characterized by the end of the Cold War and the rise of the United States as a single superpower. With a mind-bending narrative, and unbound by the rules of engagement, this is signature Black Ops.
The Black Ops 6 Campaign provides dynamic moment-to-moment gameplay that includes a variety of play spaces with blockbuster set pieces and action-packed moments, high-stakes heists, and cloak-and-dagger spy activity.
In a best-in-class Multiplayer experience, players will test their skills across 16 new maps at launch, including 12 core 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps that can be played 2v2 or 6v6.
Black Ops 6 also marks the epic return of Round-Based Zombies, the fan-favorite mode where players will take down hordes of the undead in two brand-new maps at launch. Post-launch, players can look forward to even more exciting maps and groundbreaking experiences dropping into both Multiplayer and Zombies.
