Eager fans awaiting Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 got a better look at Omnimovement in a new multiplayer reveal trailer for the upcoming title. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is set to launch this October with 16 original multiplayer maps, two round-based Zombies maps, and a campaign set in the early 90s that picks up after the events of Black Ops Cold War and Black Ops 2.
One of the new features being added to Call of Duty in Black Ops 6 is Omnimovement, the game's new movement system that allows players to walk, sprint, slide, and dive in any direction. This new movement feature has been at the root of much debate within the Call of Duty community, as many fans aren't looking forward to learning the all-new system, while others are excited for a change of pace in Call of Duty multiplayer. It's been confirmed that players can utilize Omnimovement not just in multiplayer, but in Black Ops 6's story campaign and Zombies as well, and that the feature cannot be turned off.

Just two months before the game's October 25 release, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 dropped a blood-pumping, action-packed multiplayer trailer sure to get fans hyped. The trailer makes it clear that the star of Black Ops 6 is Omnimovement, as it frequently depicts characters jumping and diving every which way, avoiding tomahawk throwables or dramatically sliding backward down an escalator to avoid an incoming hit.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Shows Off Omnimovement In New Multiplayer Trailer
This new multiplayer reveal trailer also gives players more glimpses at some of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6's 16 launch maps. The early parts of the trailer showcase the game's American suburban strip mall map, which is home to a Freedom Fried Chicken, supermarket, video store, and other sorts of 90s-style storefronts. A different map takes players to what looks like a luxurious island mansion, while another is set around a giant torn-up satellite dish. Players will have a lot of unique playgrounds in which to practice their Omnimovement skills this Fall.
The trailer ends by reminding Call of Duty fans that players who pre-order Black Ops 6 will gain access to a four-skin operator pack, the five-weapon Mastercraft Collection, and Season 1's yet-to-be-revealed Blackcell pass. Furthermore, Call of Duty will host a three-day Black Ops 6 open beta for players on all platforms, beginning on September 6 and ending on September 9. Gamers who've pre-ordered Black Ops 6 get an extra, earlier beta window, from August 30 to September 4. It's during these betas that players will finally be able to go hands-on with Black Ops 6's Omnimovement for the first time.
