Activision has released a brand new bundle for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Call of Duty: Warzone, but the anime-inspired cosmetics are already causing some fans to blast the bundle as "something you'd find in a free-to-play mobile game." For many years now, Call of Duty's unrealistic operator skins and cosmetic items have caused a divide in the community. While some fans have been extremely vocal about their dislike for the new store bundles, that doesn't seem to have prevented Activision from releasing even more for Black Ops 6.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6's wild operator skins have already sparked multiple debates among the community since the game's release on October 25. In mid-November, fans were left baffled after Activision added a new Mastecraft bundle to the game's store, which featured a neon green Dragon Knight operator skin and an accompanying weapon blueprint (as well as multiple other cosmetic items). Fans were quick to mock the skin for being included in a first-person shooter set in the early 90s, but others pointed out that Call of Duty is not a military simulator and is simply an arcade shooter, which means unrealistic skins are to be expected.

Call of Duty Players Aren't Happy With New Anime Bundle

While there are still plenty of Black Ops 6 players calling for more realistic operator skins, Activision doesn't seem to be letting fan backlash affect its decision to release some pretty wild cosmetics, as a new bundle known as Otaku We Gotchu could be the game's most ridiculous one to date. The bundle features a Kawaii emote, an anime-inspired operator skin, and two weapon blueprints: Helm, for the LW3A1 Frostline sniper rifle, and Hardwire, for the C9 submachine gun. There are also various other cosmetic items, such as a charm, spray, loading screen, emblem, and a new reticle.

Although the bright pink operator might not seem as crazy as some of Call of Duty's other store bundles, the weapon inspect element for the LW3A1 Frostline sniper rifle's blueprint features a miniature version of the skin sitting on the gun, which fans aren't happy about. Over on Reddit, one user said they "don't understand why people pay money for this," while another said they would be "cool" with this style of operator skins if they had the option to turn off the cosmetics in the game's settings.

The ability to turn off Call of Duty's bizarre operator skins is something fans have been requesting for many weeks now, as each new bundle seems to include even more outlandish cosmetic items. Although the Otaku We Gotchu bundle features probably the craziest weapon inspect element to date, a recent leak revealed that an upcoming store bundle will feature a new finishing move where Black Ops 6 players will be able to take out their enemies with a unicorn fart.
