Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 developer Treyarch has officially announced that the next Zombies map, The Tomb, will be added to the popular FPS on January 28 with the start of Season 2. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 saw the return of the beloved round-based Zombies mode, which launched with the Terminus Island and Liberty Falls maps.

Treyarch wasted little time releasing a third Zombies map for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. Citadelle des Mortes was added to Black Ops 6 as part of Season 1 Reloaded, giving Zombies fans even more options when it comes to slaying massive hordes of the undead. Since Citadelle des Morts was just added to the game not too long ago, few expected Black Ops 6 Season 2 to launch with yet another new Zombies map, but that's exactly what's happening.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is adding a new Zombies map called The Tomb on January 28 with the start of Season 2. The new map will continue the story where things left off in Citadelle des Morts, bringing back Weaver, Grey, Garver, and Maya as the playable characters. The Tomb map is set in catacombs built on top of ancient burial grounds. Treyarch has compared the new map to Liberty Falls in terms of structure, and promises to deliver Easter Eggs and a new Wonder Weapon inspired by the franchise's past, but fans will have to wait and see exactly what it is.

Not only that, but "one of the most iconic SMGs in Zombies history" is also making its return in Season 2.

Zombies fans will no doubt be excited to check out The Tomb and everything it has to offer once Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 2 launches on January 28. The only question is if Treyarch is going to be able to keep this pace of adding one new Zombies map per season, especially since the studio is rumored to be leading development on the 2025 Call of Duty game. That seems like a tall order, but fans can rest assured that there will still be new Zombies content in the months ahead regardless.
