Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 fans are "fed up" with the game's player collision and are calling for developer Treyarch Studios to make some major adjustments. While previous Call of Duty titles have also featured player collision, the Black Ops 6 community is in agreement that the feature feels worse than usual this year, with some even stating that they'd enjoy the game much more if Treyarch were to implement a change.
Despite the fact that players are calling for some major gameplay changes, Black Ops 6 has been a massive success for publisher Activision and developer Treyarch. On November 25, the official Call of Duty Twitter account confirmed that Black Ops 6 has become "the biggest Call of Duty ever," breaking numerous records for the twenty-one-year-old franchise. In the first 30 days of its launch, Black Ops 6 brought in the highest number of players, while also having the most amount of hours and matches played when compared to all other entries. But, as successful as the title may be, players still think some significant updates need to be made.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Players Are Fed up With the Game's Collision
Over on Reddit, Black Ops 6 players are making it clear that they aren't happy with the game's collision physics. User DrLuciid has pleaded with Treyarch to turn off collision with teammates as they are "fed up" with dying or getting stuck due to other players standing in the way. While they did note that they are enjoying Black Ops 6, they said that player collision "is just annoying." Other players are 100% in agreement too, with Reddit user BawjawzMcGraw saying that the player collision is "really bad this year" as teammates can knock you off target. Although player collision has been present in previous Call of Duty titles, users say it feels "insane" this year.
The controversy surrounding player collision in Call of Duty is one that occurs most years, depending on how strong it is in the latest title. While it hasn't been much of a complaint in recent titles like the rebooted Modern Warfare series, 2021's Call of Duty: Vanguard saw players calling for player collision removal too. For Black Ops 6, however, it seems to be the worst it's ever been.
Calls for Treyarch to fix player collision come just a few days after the return of Black Ops 6's massively popular Stakeout 24/7 playlist, which seems to be amplifying players' gripes with collision. Reddit user Archenemy09 gave the perfect example of why a change needs to be made, saying, "Best one is when you spawn in that tiny bathroom on Stakeout, there’s usually [someone] lying prone in there watching the hallway and if you spawn behind him you can’t get out." It's clear the fans want collision to be adjusted, with user Savageseeks even saying it would improve their enjoyment of the game, but whether or not Treyarch is willing to make such an adjustment a month after launch is unknown.

Forced to go rogue. Hunted from within. This is Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
Developed by Treyarch and Raven, Black Ops 6 is a spy action thriller set in the early 90s, a period of transition and upheaval in global politics, characterized by the end of the Cold War and the rise of the United States as a single superpower. With a mind-bending narrative, and unbound by the rules of engagement, this is signature Black Ops.
The Black Ops 6 Campaign provides dynamic moment-to-moment gameplay that includes a variety of play spaces with blockbuster set pieces and action-packed moments, high-stakes heists, and cloak-and-dagger spy activity.
In a best-in-class Multiplayer experience, players will test their skills across 16 new maps at launch, including 12 core 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps that can be played 2v2 or 6v6.
Black Ops 6 also marks the epic return of Round-Based Zombies, the fan-favorite mode where players will take down hordes of the undead in two brand-new maps at launch. Post-launch, players can look forward to even more exciting maps and groundbreaking experiences dropping into both Multiplayer and Zombies.
