Season 2 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone will be released for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC later today, January 28, bringing plenty of new content and bug fixes to both titles.

With Season 2 of Black Ops 6 and Warzone just a matter of hours away, fans will soon be able to jump into a plethora of new content. For Multiplayer fans, Treyarch has confirmed that the launch of Season 2 will bring three new maps to the game: Bounty, Dealership, and Lifeline. All three are 6v6 maps, while Lifeline will also be available as a 2v2 map via Black Ops 6's much-loved Gunfight mode. There are also new modes, perks, Ranked Play rewards, and much more.

Ahead of the Season 2 launch, Call of Duty fans want a certain Zombies feature from Black Ops 2 to return in Black Ops 6 soon.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Master Prestige Bug Fixed With Season 2 Update

While there are plenty of bug fixes found in the Black Ops 6 Season 2 patch notes, there is one that stands out above the rest. Under the "Progression & Prestige" section of the patch notes, Treyarch revealed that Season 2 will address an issue that was causing the "Congratulations, you've Mastered Prestige" screen to appear after every match for some players who had reached Master Prestige. The annoying bug has been irritating players for months, so it's a welcomed fix for the community. The bug even presented some players with a screen to Prestige once again. However, due to this being an impossibility, it would simply lead to an error message.

Fans can expect plenty of other bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements in the new season too, including a highly-requested feature to track camo challenges in Black Ops 6 Multiplayer and Zombies. This was a feature included in 2023's Modern Warfare 3 but was absent from the franchise's most recent entry. Thankfully, with the launch of Season 2, Black Ops 6 players will now be able to manually track up to 10 camo and 10 calling card challenges, which will show real-time progress while in-game.

Unfortunately, Warzone players will have less content than initially anticipated for Season 2. In a blog post earlier this month, Activision outlined some of the biggest issues in Warzone and Black Ops 6, confirming it was working to fix some of the community's biggest gripes. Due to Warzone being in one of the worst states it has ever been in, Activision confirmed it would be prioritizing gameplay tuning, quality-of-life improvements, and bug fixes for the game's next season. As such, Warzone players will only have a new Reactive Armor perk, a Low Profile perk (coming mid-season), and new Ranked Play rewards for Season 2. There will, however, be plenty of gameplay updates for the game throughout the course of the season.

Forced to go rogue. Hunted from within. This is Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.

Developed by Treyarch and Raven, Black Ops 6 is a spy action thriller set in the early 90s, a period of transition and upheaval in global politics, characterized by the end of the Cold War and the rise of the United States as a single superpower. With a mind-bending narrative, and unbound by the rules of engagement, this is signature Black Ops.

The Black Ops 6 Campaign provides dynamic moment-to-moment gameplay that includes a variety of play spaces with blockbuster set pieces and action-packed moments, high-stakes heists, and cloak-and-dagger spy activity.

In a best-in-class Multiplayer experience, players will test their skills across 16 new maps at launch, including 12 core 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps that can be played 2v2 or 6v6.

Black Ops 6 also marks the epic return of Round-Based Zombies, the fan-favorite mode where players will take down hordes of the undead in two brand-new maps at launch. Post-launch, players can look forward to even more exciting maps and groundbreaking experiences dropping into both Multiplayer and Zombies.
