While servers will remain operational, Season 6 will mark the end of the road for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. Thankfully, the series will continue, as Treyarch Studios is currently gearing up to launch the next installment in the series, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, on November 14. The shooter will once again be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, this time taking fans to the year 2035 with returning Black Ops 2 characters, David Mason and Raul Menendez. Fans can once again expect fast-paced Multiplayer antics, with an evolved omnimovement system, all-out chaos in Zombies, and a mind-bending single-player story in the game's Campaign.

Call of Duty Reveals Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 6

Treyarch Studios recently revealed that it would be extending the Black Ops 7 beta from Wednesday, October 8, to Thursday, October 9, which will now also coincide with the launch of Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 6. The studio has yet to release a blog post or patch notes for the big update, but a new promotional image posted on Twitter has confirmed that Season 6 will include a collaboration with the iconic Predator franchise. Alongside the collaboration, it also appears that the new season will see the arrival of the MP-40, a classic submachine gun featured in numerous Call of Duty titles over the years, including World at War, Vanguard, Black Ops 4, and many more.

Further details on the new season will likely be shared in the coming days, but the above promotional image does confirm a previous rumor that the iconic Haunting of Verdansk event will return in Warzone Season 6. While developer Raven Software has yet to spill the beans on the Halloween-themed event, the image suggests that players will once again be able to drop into a nighttime version of Verdansk for the duration of the event, possibly as a standalone playlist option.

Call of Duty fans will need to wait until October 9 at 9 AM PT to jump into the final season of Black Ops 6, but the good news is that there's plenty to keep them occupied in the meantime. There are still two more days of the Black Ops 7 beta left, allowing fans to check out the new "Open Moshpit," which features a more traditional matchmaking system. Players have been requesting the removal of skill-based matchmaking for over five years now, and Treyarch Studios finally appears to be testing its removal with a new playlist that revolves around connection instead of player skill. So far, it's been well-received by fans, but there's no word on whether it will make its way into the full release.
