The Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 developers at Treyarch revealed several new details about the game's two Zombies maps that will be available at launch: Terminus Island and Liberty Falls. Each of the new Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 maps will have points of interest (POIs) that players will need to know in order to survive.
Alongside several multiplayer game modes and maps for Black Ops 6, the game will launch with traditional round-based Zombies. Several details about the two new Zombies maps were revealed at the August Call of Duty NEXT event, including the general premise of the Zombies storyline. One week ahead of Black Ops 6's launch on October 25, Treyarch revealed more specific details about the Terminus Island and Liberty Falls maps regarding their respective POIs.
Call of Duty is Making Important Change Ahead of Black Ops 6 Launch
Activision confirms an important change that's on the way for Call of Duty HQ in the lead-up to the Black Ops 6 launch.
Firstly, Treyarch revealed various POIs for the Terminus Island Zombies map in Black Ops 6. Once serving as a CIA blacksite, Terminus Island has a notorious reputation due to evidence regarding biological experiments by the Project Janus group. However, the map's history goes as far back as World War 2, as Terminus Island once served as a resupply depot. The top of Terminus Island contains a series of holding cells in the Cells and Guard Station POI, where Black Ops 6's Requiem team has been stationed for the past five years. This is only one of the major POIs, with players needing to go to various locations to survive. These POIs include Security Overlook and Control Center, Living Quarters, Sea Tower, Gun Battery Platform, Sea Caves and Mining Tunnels, Bio Lab, Inclined Lift and Maglev Elevator, Shipwreck, and The Outer Islands. Evidence of Project Janus' top secret work will be found as players explore all the locations on Terminus Island.
Treyarch Reveals POIs for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Terminus Island and Liberty Falls Zombies Maps
Black Ops 6's controversial Liberty Falls map takes place on February 18, 1991, in West Virginia. The events in Liberty Falls will take place concurrently with the aftermath of a dimensional breach back on Terminus Island, as Richtofen is alerted about the zombie outbreak in town. Players will begin their fight against waves of Zombies at the Pump & Pay gas station rooftop, which serves as a useful vantage point early on. From there, players may head to the overrun Motor Lodge POI, one of the first multi-floor buildings players will notice from the gas station's rooftop. A variety of other POIs are located on the map as well, including Olly's Comics, Fuller's Liberty Lanes, Savings & Loan, Holy Falls Church, and The Alamo.
In Black Ops 6, players may customize their Zombies loadouts in a variety of ways in order to be fully prepared for long play sessions. One of the most impactful systems in Black Ops 6 Zombies involves Augments, which can modify and improve effects granted by Perk-A-Colas, Ammo Mods, and Field Upgrades. A wide assortment of Gobblegums will be available in Rare, Epic, Legendary, and Ultra rarities as well.

Black Ops 6 also marks the epic return of Round-Based Zombies, the fan-favorite mode where players will take down hordes of the undead in two brand-new maps at launch.
