Black Ops 6 Zombies pits players on a variety of different maps, where they can battle against waves of the undead and engage in each map's main quest to progress through the story. Of course, when diving into each map, players may want to get their hands on a powerful arsenal, with Wonder Weapons proving to be some of the strongest items a player can wield.
There are very few Wonder Weapons in Call of Duty that manage to withstand the test of time. In the case of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, it's the Ray Gun, a Wonder Weapon that's appeared in nearly all Zombies modes since its initial debut in Call of Duty: World at War. New Easter Eggs are also constantly being discovered, providing additional rewards. This guide has been updated with additional methods to acquire the Ray Gun, some of which are specific to certain maps.

The Mystery Box
Like most other Wonder Weapons in Black Ops 6, the first and most straightforward method of acquiring the Ray Gun is through the Mystery Box. The Mystery Box can be found on every map in Black Ops 6 Zombies, but its location changes with every match. To track it, look out for the beam of light it emits, or track its location via the minimap.
The Mystery Box can be activated with 950 Essence (10 Essence during a Fire Sale), and once opened, players will receive a random weapon. As the weapon offered by the Mystery Box is completely random, there is only a small chance of acquiring the Ray Gun this way, meaning that players may have to spend thousands on Essence in order to obtain it.
However, players can increase their odds through the use of the Wonderbar GobbleGum. The Wonderbar GobbleGum guarantees a Wonder Weapon to appear in the next spin of the box once consumed, and while this doesn't necessarily guarantee a Ray Gun, it does boost the chance of getting it drastically on all maps.
Looting The Bank Vault/Armory (Terminus & Liberty Falls)
The next way to acquire the Ray Gun is through looting the Bank Vault on Terminus or the Armory on Liberty Falls. On both maps, elite enemies such as Manglers have a chance of dropping Loot Keys on the ground. Once obtained, the next step is to find the Armory in Terminus or the Vault in Liberty Falls to open up the Safety Deposit Boxes that are located inside. While the Armory is open to all players, the Vault on Liberty Falls will require a passcode to open it.
Similar to the Mystery Box, the loot awarded by the deposit boxes is random, but there is a chance the players can acquire a Ray Gun this way on both maps, regardless of the Loot Keys rarity. Alongside the Ray Gun, there's also a chance of finding other upgrades that will prove useful when attempting to make it to the higher rounds.

Completing Specific Easter Eggs
Another way players can get their hands on the Ray Gun is by completing specific Easter Eggs that reward random loot upon completion. Some of the most notable Easter Eggs that have the potential to reward players with a Ray Gun include:
- The Vending Machine (Liberty Falls): Melee the Vending Machine with Melee Macchiato at the Motor Lodge Motel.
- Liberty Lanes Bowling Alley (Liberty Falls): Locate 5 Bowling Shoes and complete the bowling mini-game.
- Mr. Peeks Mystery Box (Liberty Falls): Look for the car with Mr. Peeks in the back seat. Shooting this car with a Mangler Cannon will drop a random weapon.
- Void Cannon Easter Egg (Terminus): Power the Void Cannon by shooting radio towers with a Deadwire Pack-a-Punched weapon, and then activate the Void Cannon to destroy a meteor.
- Fish Spots (Terminus): Using explosives on fish spots will drop random loot while also yielding free Perks and the ability to get a Perkaholic.
- Rat King Easter Egg (Citadelle Des Morts): Grab the cheese in Town Square and locate 10 different rats around the map. These rats will surround a plate in the Oubliette Room. Placing the cheese on the plate yields rewards.
Completing SAM Trials
The final way players can bag themselves a Ray Gun is by completing SAM Trials. SAM Trials are challenges that players can activate at the SAM Trial Machine for 750 to 1000 Essence, which will teleport onto all maps at random locations and times. The location in which the SAM Trials spawn will be both marked onscreen when they appear and on the map. Its location can also be tracked by the purple beacon the machine gives off.
Once activated, players must complete a random challenge displayed on the screen. As players fulfill the requirements for the challenge, they will increase the rarity of the rewards they receive. Upon completion, a Supply Cache will spawn in place of the SAM Trial Machine, offering random rewards. It’s best to complete the challenge fully to earn the highest-tier rewards. While doing so offers a chance of acquiring a Ray Gun, the weapon itself is not guaranteed.
