Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 came out of the gate swinging back in October with its triumphant return of round-based Zombies. Set across two incredibly replayable maps, Black Ops 6's Zombies mode offered an onslaught of Easter eggs, a ton of classic Perk-a-Colas, and a handful of both new and returning Wonder Weapons. Essentially, fans were given just about everything they could want from a new iteration of Call of Duty Zombies.
But that was only the beginning. "Citadelle des Morts," a new map that hearkened back to beloved stages like Black Ops 3's Der Eisendrache, was added last December during Call of Duty: Black Ops 6's Season 1 Reloaded update. And now, fans are just days away from the launch of Black Ops 6 Season 2, which is set to bring another new map to the already-packed shooter. Titled "The Tomb," this new Zombies map features a lot of familiar content, and its official reveal may have inadvertently confirmed certain aspects of the game's future.
Call of Duty's Back-to-Back Black Ops Games Will Live or Die By One Mode
It's rumored that 2025's Call of Duty entry will be another Black Ops game, and if that's true, it could live or die by the treatment of one mode.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6's Zombies Leaks Are Slowly Coming True
Predicting The Next Batch of Perk-a-Colas
Before Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 1 Reloaded launched in December 2024, a bevy of leaks hit the internet, many of which focused on the then-upcoming map and what it could contain. According to datamines, there was evidence in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6's files that suggested five Perk-a-Colas could be added via post-launch updates. These five Perks were Mule Kick, Vulture Aid, Tombstone, Double Tap, and Death Perception.
When Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 1 Reloaded eventually rolled around, Treyarch confirmed that Vulture Aid was making its return with the debut of Citadelle des Morts. And thanks to Black Ops 6 Season 2's official reveal, it's confirmed that Death Perception will also be making its return with the introduction of The Tomb.
Though leaks should always be taken with a hefty pinch of salt, and things are constantly changing during the course of ongoing development, it seems there might be some truth to last year's datamines, with two of the five Perks now officially in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. If the datamine continues to prove true, then fans can expect to see either Tombstone, Mule Kick, or Double Tap come to Black Ops 6 Zombies next.
Predicting The Next Zombies Boss
On January 8, 2025, Reddit user GenoGM posted on r/CODZombies. The post stated that GenoGM had requested their game data from Activision, and that they had been provided with a spreadsheet detailing various Call of Duty statistics. The section honed in on was the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies segment, which seemed to contain a counter for both Mimic and Disciple kills, which appeared alongside kill counters for the Mangler, Abomination, Amalgam, and more.
GenoGM theorized that this meant that Mimic and Disciple enemy types would be returning to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies in a future update. Black Ops 6 Season 2's official reveal confirmed that Mimics are in fact returning, albeit with a new electrified design. It's possible, then, that Disciples could be arriving as well in the near future.

Forced to go rogue. Hunted from within. This is Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
Developed by Treyarch and Raven, Black Ops 6 is a spy action thriller set in the early 90s, a period of transition and upheaval in global politics, characterized by the end of the Cold War and the rise of the United States as a single superpower. With a mind-bending narrative, and unbound by the rules of engagement, this is signature Black Ops.
The Black Ops 6 Campaign provides dynamic moment-to-moment gameplay that includes a variety of play spaces with blockbuster set pieces and action-packed moments, high-stakes heists, and cloak-and-dagger spy activity.
In a best-in-class Multiplayer experience, players will test their skills across 16 new maps at launch, including 12 core 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps that can be played 2v2 or 6v6.
Black Ops 6 also marks the epic return of Round-Based Zombies, the fan-favorite mode where players will take down hordes of the undead in two brand-new maps at launch. Post-launch, players can look forward to even more exciting maps and groundbreaking experiences dropping into both Multiplayer and Zombies.
