Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Achievements Leak Online Months Ahead of Launch
With months left to go before Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 launches, a new leak reveals many of the achievements players can earn in-game.
Black Ops 6 Zombies Showcases 3rd-Person Mode
Aside from unveiling some Black Ops 6 Zombies Wonder Weapons and returning items, the newly premiered trailer also offered a few glimpses of the game's third-person perspective. This novel feature will be exclusive to Zombies, with Activision confirming that the entirety of the co-op mode will be playable from third person. According to a Black Ops 6 Zombies overview posted to the official Call of Duty blog, players will be able to change their camera perspective from the settings menu. While many games that support first- and third-person views allow switching between them with a single button press, it's currently unclear whether Black Ops 6 will do the same.
Black Ops 6 Zombies 3rd-Person Mode Supports Toggleable Shoulder Perspective
What's certain is that the third-person perspective in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies mode will allow players to shift the camera between shoulders at will. This particular function will ostensibly be tied to a single button press. A third-person perspective promises to give players a better view of Omnimovement, a new Black Ops 6 mechanic that allows chaining maneuvers like sprinting, sliding, and diving into more fluid motions.
A 3rd-Person Perspective Has Some Clear Benefits in Call of Duty Zombies Mode
From a gameplay standpoint, a third-person perspective could prove useful for getting a better grasp of one's surroundings, thus minimizing the chances of getting overwhelmed by the ever-relentless undead hordes. That's often a risk in Call of Duty Zombies modes, which are known for being chaotic. Improved situational awareness enabled by the third-person perspective could also facilitate team coordination, not to mention allow players to see their character customizations at all times. The feature should even have accessibility benefits, as some people inherently find movement and aiming easier from the third person than the first.
Activision today also confirmed that Black Ops 6 will allow players to save and quit their solo Zombies runs for the first time ever. This quality-of-life improvement will even include automatic saving that will help players resume their runs after server errors or internet service interruption. All of that and more is coming on October 25, when Black Ops 6 is scheduled to reach the latest two generations of non-Nintendo consoles and PC. The upcoming Call of Duty entry will also be a day-one Xbox Game Pass release.

Forced to go rogue. Hunted from within. This is Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
Developed by Treyarch and Raven, Black Ops 6 is a spy action thriller set in the early 90s, a period of transition and upheaval in global politics, characterized by the end of the Cold War and the rise of the United States as a single superpower. With a mind-bending narrative, and unbound by the rules of engagement, this is signature Black Ops.
The Black Ops 6 Campaign provides dynamic moment-to-moment gameplay that includes a variety of play spaces with blockbuster set pieces and action-packed moments, high-stakes heists, and cloak-and-dagger spy activity.
In a best-in-class Multiplayer experience, players will test their skills across 16 new maps at launch, including 12 core 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps that can be played 2v2 or 6v6.
Black Ops 6 also marks the epic return of Round-Based Zombies, the fan-favorite mode where players will take down hordes of the undead in two brand-new maps at launch. Post-launch, players can look forward to even more exciting maps and groundbreaking experiences dropping into both Multiplayer and Zombies.
