Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is the next entry in Activision's extremely popular first-person shooter franchise, and will serve as a follow-up to 2012's Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 - widely regarded to be one of the best games in the series. It'll feature David Mason as the protagonist and the return of iconic Call of Duty villain Raul Menendez, and claims to be the "most mind-bending" Black Ops entry to date. Naturally, Call of Duty fans have been wondering when Activision plans to conduct the first beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, even more so considering EA's Battlefield 6 concluded its own successful open beta recently.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Beta Will Take Place in the First Week of October
Now, thanks to an update to Call of Duty: Black Ops 7's Xbox Store page ahead of Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025, players finally have clarity on when they'll be able to jump into the game's multiplayer mode. According to the listing, the Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 beta will begin on Thursday, October 2 for players who have early access, which includes anyone who pre-ordered the game. Meanwhile, the open beta is scheduled to commence on Sunday, October 5, ensuring that everyone will have a chance to experience Call of Duty: Black Ops 7's new multiplayer systems before launch.

While Activision has not yet confirmed how long the Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 beta will last, the listing does state a minimum of two days.
