Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 developer Treyarch Studios has responded to player requests and revealed that it has implemented a major change to the Dexterity Perk. After fans got to go hands-on with Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 earlier this month, one of the biggest requests was that Treyarch Studios make certain features from the Dexterity Perk part of the default movement system. The studio has now responded to players in a new development update and outlined its plans for the game's launch on November 14.

The Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 open beta took place at the beginning of October, allowing fans not only to get a glimpse of what the series had in store for the next 12 months but also to provide valuable feedback to Treyarch ahead of the game's full release. While the community had heavy praise for this year's Call of Duty, there were a handful of requests that many expected to fall on deaf ears, the most prominent of which surrounded skill-based matchmaking. However, fans were left shocked when Treyarch confirmed it would be ditching SBMM for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and returning to the traditional matchmaking system not seen for over 6 years.

Black Ops 7 Devs Confirm Major Change to Dexterity Perk

Since the Black Ops 7 open beta, Treyarch has confirmed numerous other highly requested changes, but it doesn't appear to be done just yet. In a new development update, the studio revealed that it has made some major changes to the Dexterity Perk based on player feedback. The Perk allowed players to aim down sight while sliding, diving, and wall jumping, but many believed this should be part of the default movement system. Well, Treyarch has heard the feedback loud and clear, as the ability to aim down sights while performing the aforementioned movements will be included by default. Treyarch says fans can still equip Dexterity for "maximum fluidity," but it's no longer needed to ADS in every situation.

This is just one of the many changes Treyarch has made to the movement system in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 when compared to its predecessor. This year's Call of Duty title is also ditching Tac Sprint as a default feature, something fans have been requesting for years. Instead, Tac Sprint will be included as a Perk for those who still want it, but it will not be part of the default movement system. This comes alongside Treyarch's evolved omnimovement system, which it first released in Black Ops 6. Players can now not only run, jump, dive, and slide in any direction, but they can also wall jump, making for an even faster and more fluid gameplay experience.

Several other changes were also revealed in the latest development update, including an increase to the footstep volume, reductions to slide speed and distance, and the combining of numerous multiplayer perks. Treyarch also said it is focused on aim assist strength in Black Ops 7, as well as rotation aim assist and the requirement for the right aim stick to be moving the direction of a target on controller. More details on aim assist adjustments, maps, modes, weapons, progressions, and more are set to be revealed in a new blog post before the game's launch on November 14.
