While playing Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, players have learned that the Imprint map tracks the number of times players fall to their death during a match. Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 was released on November 14, but the community is already making many intriguing discoveries about its maps.

There are 18 multiplayer maps in Black Ops 7, split between 16 6v6 maps and two Skirmish ones. Additionally, the game is adding Nuketown on November 20, before the start of Season 01. While some of the multiplayer options are returning maps, others are original to the game. One of these new maps is Imprint, an icy complex located on an Alaskan cliffside. It is one of the medium-sized 6v6 maps in Black Ops 7, and the community recently highlighted a humorous feature.

Things Black Ops 7 Does Better Than Battlefield 6

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Battlefield 6 are competing in 2026 for players, but what aspects of Black Ops 7 are better than Battlefield 6?

Black Ops 7's Imprint Map Has a Fall Counter

In a Reddit post, a user known as L21JP shared a clip revealing that Imprint tracks how many times players fall off. Specifically, there is a building near the edge of the map that features a sign reading “FALLS TODAY” and includes a counter. L21JP illustrated how the fall counter works by having a player leap into the abyss. Humorously, the tally on the building updated shortly after the player took the deadly plunge. It will be interesting to see what fall counts are recorded in the matches, as more players become aware of the feature.

Besides the fall counter, the community has reacted mainly positively to the Imprint map in Black Ops 7 following its introduction in the beta. The map's snowy atmosphere has been praised, with the backdrop featuring snowy peaks. It offers a mix of corridors and icy ledges, hence the inclusion of a fall counter. Additionally, there is a lift that can be activated to reposition, which forces players to watch their footing.

It is worth noting that players have more maps to look forward to checking out in the coming months. Besides adding Nuketwon on November 20, Black Ops 7 is introducing various maps during Season 01, including Fate, Utopia, Odysseus, Standoff, Meltdown, and Yakei. Furthermore, the Zombies mode will receive more content to help keep the experience exciting for players.

Time will tell what other discoveries players make on these maps as they are added to the game. In the meantime, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 continues to get new updates to improve the gameplay experience. For example, a November 19 patch fixed UI issues, a problem with the co-op campaign, and more. It will be interesting to see if these patches and future content drops can help the game keep players as it competes against other popular shooters, including Battlefield 6 and ARC Raiders.
