With just two weeks left to go until its release, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 developer Treyarch Studios has released a new dev talk video discussing the game's progression, UI, and more. After taking on board plenty of player feedback, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is making some big changes from its predecessor, including a significant adjustment to the way Mastery Camos work, which should make the grind a whole lot easier for players.
The build-up to Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 has been filled with non-stop communication from Treyarch, as the studio is clearly striving to incorporate as much fan feedback as possible before the game's launch on November 14. As players got to go hands-on with the next entry in the series earlier this month, there were plenty of requests and critiques from the community. One of the most recently announced changes to Black Ops 7 came earlier this month, when Treyarch revealed that the movement benefits from the Dexterity perk will be included by default at launch.
Yellowstone Creator Joins the Call of Duty Movie
The Call of Duty movie is apparently picking up steam, continuing to onboard high-profile talent: this time, it's Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan.
Treyarch Reveals More Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Info
The release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is right around the corner, but that isn't stopping Treyarch from giving fans an insight into some yet-to-be-revealed elements. In a new dev talk video, David Duckworth and Lawrence Metton discussed the game's user interface and progression. The 4-minute video has plenty to dissect, but one reveal in particular will have camo grinders bouncing off the walls with happiness. In Black Ops 7, players now only need to unlock the previous Mastery Camo on 30 weapons to automatically unlock the final Mastery Camo on every weapon.
Also revealed during the dev talk were the first three Prestige icons and the rewards that will be unlocked when players reach Prestige 1 in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. Just like the Prestige system in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, the next entry in the series will reward players with skins and weapon blueprints for each milestone achieved. Treyarch says each Prestige is "packed with rewards" before giving fans a look at the very first skin and blueprint, which can be seen below.
Another major talking point from the video was HUD themes, as Treyarch Studios gave fans a look at the HUD for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Zombies, which can be applied to all other game modes too. Players will also be able to customize the HUD to their liking across all three modes, such as removing certain elements that they have no desire for. The studio explains that the system allows players to apply a distinct look and feel to core HUD elements in Multiplayer, Zombies, and co-op Campaign.
