The Season 5 Reloaded update brought a substantial amount of new content into Modern Warfare 2 on August 30. This new update introduced the DRC - Zone 1 multiplayer map, three new weapons, and multiple new operators. One of the new operators is Lara Croft, the iconic protagonist of the long-running Tomb Raider series, and she will be available to purchase on September 9. Moreover, players may compete in Gunfight Snipers, a special variant of the Gunfight mode where players may only use sniper and marksman rifles.

Modern Warfare 2 fans have begun to point out the 9mm Daemon pistol's incredible animations online, and some have noticed references to past Call of Duty games as well. Reddit user cireland32600 tested out the 9mm Daemon pistol in a private match and inspected the weapon without ammo. The soldier will take a look at the new pistol from all sides before taking the empty magazine and holding it like a tactical knife from 2009's Modern Warfare 2. Despite the lack of a tactical knife attachment for pistols, fans are pleased with the attention to detail and care placed by the developers.

After inspecting the akimbo version of the 9mm Daemon, Reddit user MrEpicFerret believes the new pistol has the best inspect animations in Modern Warfare 2. While inspecting the dual pistols, the soldier will quickly twirl the weapons around and check the magazines. Many Modern Warfare 2 players believe the animation references the popular John Wick series of films since the titular protagonist often uses 9mm pistols.

The 9mm Daemon's impressive animations quickly garnered the attention of Modern Warfare 2 players who didn't consider using the weapon when it launched with the recent update. Although the animations are over-the-top, the 9mm Daemon shows that the Modern Warfare 2 developers are passionate about creating exciting new weapons for the player base.

The 9mm Daemon may be obtained after getting 15 operator headshot kills with pistols in Modern Warfare 2 Season 5 Reloaded. In Call of Duty: Warzone, the weapon may be unlocked through extraction in DMZ. Moreover, weapon blueprints are typically offered in bundles from the in-game shop. Future weapons will likely follow a similar unlock structure in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, and Modern Warfare 2's Carry-Forward system lets players bring their favorite weapons into the new game.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
