Rumors indicate that Call of Duty will be adding rappers Nicki Minaj and 21 Savage as playable Operator skins. The franchise is known for collaborating with influential figures for special skin bundles that players could get in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone.Developed by Activision, Call of Duty has managed to stay afloat with its compelling roster of action games, such as Modern Warfare 2 and the battle royale title Warzone. Many popular streamers and content creators still play these games, and would rake in impressive viewership numbers while showing off their skills. This was also why Call of Duty partnered with NICKMERCS and TimTheTatman to create Operator skins based on their likeness. However, these were pulled out after NICKMERCS made a homophobic comment last month, and TimTheTatman requested to have his bundle removed in support of his friend.RELATED: Call of Duty Fans Worried New Skin Could Be Roze All Over Again Despite worries that Call of Duty might not do creator collaborations anymore, prominent dataminer HeyImAlaix revealed on Twitter that rappers Nicki Minaj and 21 Savage could be coming to Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone. They added that the collaboration would be Operator skins in time for Season 5 of Modern Warfare 2. A number of players in the replies seemed to be excited to see both rappers in the game, with a few predicting that Minaj's skin would be the "most bought." Meanwhile, others didn't seem thrilled about the rumored skin line.

Last year, Minaj starred in a live-action Modern Warfare 2 trailer, alongside fellow artists Jack Harlow, Kane Brown, and Lil Baby. Also in the video were athletes Jalen Ramsey (Los Angeles Rams), David Long Jr. (Tennessee Titans), Arsenal football player Bukayo Saka, and Formula 1 driver Lando Norris. Meanwhile, 21 Savage seemed to be a longtime Call of Duty fan as he used to play Black Ops 4, and even sampled the Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War track in his song "Ain't On None." These being said, it could be why Activision decided to partner with them for Modern Warfare 2's upcoming season.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Season 5 is expected to roll out on August 9, so it might confirm the Nicki Minaj and 21 Savage Operator skins before the season launches. There seemed to missed reactions about the rumor so far, but there might still be a chance that players would flock to the in-game store to get their hands on the skins, especially if Activision decided to make a pink Operator skin for Minaj's variant.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
