In addition to the 15 tactical devices of MW2, Modern Warfare 3 introduces three new Field Upgrades: A.C.S., Med Box, and Comm Scrambler. A.C.S. Automatically captures points in Domination, Hardpoint, Control, and Ground War while hacking nearby enemies. Med Box gives healing supplies. Modern Warfare 3’s Zombies mode has six unique Field Upgrades: Energy Mines, Frenzied Guard, Healing Aura, Frost Blast, Aether Shroud, and Tesla Storm.

The first one, Energy Mine, unlocks immediately at the beginning of the game. However, the rest must be unlocked through leveling up.
