With the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 fast approaching, Sledgehammer Games has released the final aftermarket part for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and players are absolutely dominating with it. The Jak Volstrom is a new conversion kit for the Stormender launcher and can be unlocked as part of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3's week 4 challenges for Season 6.
Week 4 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Season 6 went live on October 9, adding a brand-new set of challenges for players to complete and the final aftermarket part of not only the season but the entirety of Modern Warfare 3. While the game's servers will remain operational, Activision is gearing up to launch the next installment in the Call of Duty series, Black Ops 6. There's no confirmed date for the game's first season just yet, but with the shooter set to launch on October 25, fans can likely expect Season 1 to arrive in later November or early December.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Teases Fan Favorite Mode Returning in Season 1
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 developer Treyarch Studios teases the return of a fan-favorite mode with the shooter's very first season later this year.
Sadly, this means Season 6 will be the final major content update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. But on the positive side, Sledgehammer looks to be having some fun with the final season as the new aftermarket part, known as the Jak Volstrom, is absolutely dominating in multiplayer. In a new post shared by Warzone Meta, the Jak Volstrom conversion kit turns the Stormender into an incredibly overpowered weapon that is capable of taking out multiple enemies with just a single shot. While the weapon works best at close range, its electrical ammunition means players can take out a great number of enemies if they're within close vicinity of each other.
Modern Warfare 3's Jak Volstrom Kit Is Dominating in Multiplayer
Modern Warfare 3's Jak Volstrom conversion kit does need to be charged up to get the most out of the weapon, but when playing on smaller maps like Shipment or Rust, it has the capability to absolutely dominate. To unlock the aftermarket part, players must complete at least five challenges from either multiplayer, zombies, or battle royale. After the part is unlocked, simply head on over to the Stormender launcher and equip the new conversion kit. While the Stormender is a launcher, the Jak Volstrom will turn it into a deadly shotgun-like weapon that is most effective within a distance of 7.3 meters.
While the Jak Volstrom conversion kit is absolutely dominating Modern Warfare 3's Shipment lobbies, it hasn't quite overtaken the DTIR 30-06 to become the new Warzone meta. When tested by Twitter user Warzone Meta, they discovered that the Jak Volstrom does down opponents with a single shot up to 7.3 meters, but it isn't capable of killing multiple opponents with a single bullet like it is in multiplayer. The user explained that it's "not [the new] meta" but noted that it is fun to use.
