The DG58 LSW is the bigger cousin of the DG56, but unlike its assault rifle counterpart, this LMG is capable of laying down fire at a blistering rate, leaving many enemies dead before even running out of ammo in its magazine.
The following is a loadout for the DG58 LSW that lets players completely dominate mid-ranged sightlines in both standard MW3 multiplayer and the larger maps featured in the fourth season of Warzone.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 - Best M4 Loadout For MP & Warzone
The M4 is a highly customizable rifle that Modern Warfare 3 players can tailor to their hearts' content. Here are a few builds for it.
Best DG58 LSW Loadout For MW3 MP
- Barrel: Wudi Long Barrel
- Muzzle: Wrathguard Compensator
- Underbarrel: Bruen Heavy Support Grip
- Stock: Recoil Reduction Buttplate
- Sight (Optional): Any 3-4x magnified optic
- Grip (Optional): Harken OP Grip
- Ammo (Optional): High-Grain Rounds
- Gloves: Commando
- Boots: Stalker
- Vest: Compression Carrier
- Gear: Ghost T/V Camo
The DG58 shines best at medium-long ranges, where players can take full advantage of its high rate of fire and low recoil. It won't be as snappy in close quarters as the new Superi 46 SMG in MW3 or a converted Bruen LMG, but it doesn't have to when it can always just beam targets from a safe distance.
The class setup above takes the DG58's low recoil and makes it even more manageable at the cost of slower handling and mobility. These mods basically eliminate the weapon's horizontal recoil, leaving players with only vertical recoil to contend with. As such, equipping a magnified mid-range optic on the DG58 is a viable tactic, as the gun's recoil is low enough that even zoomed-in automatic fire won't hinder a player's accuracy much.
Among the many vests in Modern Warfare 3, we highly recommend Compression Carrier for the immediate health regen after scoring a kill. The DG58's large magazine lets you score multikills without letting go of the trigger, and Compression Carrier helps those streaks come to life by keeping players alive. Pair this with Ghost T/V Camo to stay hidden from enemy UAVs.
Modern Warfare 3: Best Lockwood 680 Loadout
This Lockwood 680 build is specifically meant for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 players who are looking for a consistent one-tap shotgun.
DG58 Loadout For Warzone
The attachment setup for the DG58 in Warzone remains the same as the one above. However, since maps are generally larger in the battle royale mode, taking High Grain Rounds is highly encouraged. It will boost the DG58's mininum and effective damage ranges to 40.8 meters, which is enough to help it stay competitive against other med-long-ranged weapons like MW3's SVA 545 assault rifle.
For perks, it's up to player preference. Warzone's perk selection is very flexible, and players can get away with anything that supports their playstyle, not their weapon. Still, for the DG58 in particular, the following perks should help players find more success:
- Sleight of Hand: Reload faster.
- Focus: Reduced flinch while aiming down sight and extend Hold Breath duration.
- Primed: Accuracy and ADS speed is reduced while jumping.
- Resolute: Gain 5% extra movement speed when taking damage from gunfire.
Primed and Resolute will help mitigate the DG58's biggest weaknesses: the slow ADS speed and ADS movement speed. Meanwhile, Focus will help you stay on target even while taking shots, and Sleight of Hand will reduce the gun's downtime between magazines. Weapons like Modern Warfare 3's FJX Horus are great as secondary weapons for the DG58 thanks to their quick handling.
