On January 4, the official Sledgehammer Games Twitter account confirmed that two changes have been made to the Quick Play filter and weapon animations in a quality-of-life update for Modern Warfare 3. Firstly, Modern Warfare 3's Gun Game mode is now available to select in the Quick Play filter. This means that players can now select Gun Game as a preferred mode in Quick Play, allowing them to play this particular mode more frequently. Other Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer modes that may be selected alongside Gun Game include Free-for-All, Team Deathmatch, Domination, Search and Destroy, Kill Confirmed, Hardpoint, and Control. The second change involves weapon check animations, which will no longer play upon respawn in small map playlists. This change was made to reduce the delay between respawning and readying a weapon, allowing players to quickly get into a gunfight on small maps like Rush or Shipment.
