Call of Duty: Warzone has quickly become one of the most popular battle royale games, but campers still plague the servers. Players have desperately tried to solve how to deal with campers. Creative tactics have been used like hacking equipment and driving ATV's up 20 story buildings. Now that Helicopters have been removed from Warzone, players are brainstorming solutions to get an advantage over campers.
A Call of Duty: Warzone player recently had an idea that a certain piece of equipment from the campaign would be effective against campers. Most equipment used in the campaign is available in Warzone, however, a tactical ladder is used in campaign that would be very helpful with entering tall buildings and creating more entry points. The current Warzone map has so many tall buildings that players always have abundant areas to camp.
The introduction of a tactical ladder would be a game-changer and would help discourage campers. The tactical ladder could be used as tactical equipment to replace non-lethal grenades, however, it would make the most sense to be a field upgrade, much like the trophy system or munitions box. If the ladder is ever added to Warzone, it would not be overpowered as a field upgrade because it would still need to be looted.
Call of Duty: Warzone players have been coming up with clever ideas to beat rooftop campers since the release of the battle royale. Reddit users have pitched new items and strategies, but the tactical ladder seems like the best idea since it is already a usable item in another mode. The tactical ladder was supposed to be in multiplayer, but according to Reddit user 'thebromitch', "...was axed due to lack of time and resources. More difficult code than you'd think." Apparently, the intention was to have the tactical ladder available in multiplayer, but creating a highly interactive item that accesses different levels of buildings seems difficult to code. With all the changes happening in Call Of Duty, it is very possible that the code is finished and may be added to the game.
For the time being, Warzone players will have to come up with more clever ways to deal with campers. Call of Duty may already be ready to address the problem with campers. Leaks have pointed to a new map being added to Warzone. As season four approaches, that could be the big change needed to make Warzone a better battle royale. Hopefully, a new map will not supply campers with rooftops with limited entry points. The tactical ladder being added would be a huge bonus as well.
Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
