The hunt for Warzone information continues. Throughout nearly the entirety of the second half of the year, and into early 2020, there have been countless rumors and leaks about a battle royale for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. And as many have speculated a release date in the near future, more than ever evidence is pointing to those theories being correct.

Modern Warfare  Season 2 kicked off on February 11, 2020. The official YouTube channel for Call of Duty, and playlist for Season 2, uploaded multiple videos to celebrate the new season and inform the fans on the various new content. Along with new that content, a road map, and a new operator, a suspicious and interesting "Classified" section of the main menu was added to Modern Warfare,  and a quick teaser played when players booted up Season 2 for the first time that hinted at a battle royale.

Recently, the aforementioned Call of Duty YouTube channel added two new videos, marked as private, to the Season 2 playlists. Fans on the subreddits r/ModernWarfare and r/ModernWarzone immediately put on their Sherlock Holmes hat, as they've been waiting for the "Transmission Incoming" that Infinity Ward recently hinted at. Unfortunately, just as soon as the videos went up as private, they went back down again completely.

The reason for the videos being uploaded as private and then being taken down almost immediately is unknown. The videos may have nothing to do with Warzone whatsoever. But with so many hungry fans who are looking for more than small easter eggs hidden inside of maps, it's no wonder the private videos were discovered so quickly.

Thus far, Activision and Infinity Ward have not confirmed the existence of a battle royale within Modern Warfare. The name Warzone  was completely leaked, much to the chagrin of Activision. All of the details of the game are only "known" by the fanbase thanks to datamining, unnamed sources, and leaks.

Fans believe they know the map, map size, the weapons, the plunder system, the player-count, and more. Recently, new aminations were discovered for downed enemies that are most likely a part of Warzone as well. By the time the final product is shown off, there may not be a lot of new details to reveal. But that doesn't mean that fans won't be thrilled to finally be able to play the game.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare  is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
