Summary
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 offers a Monster Energy-themed skin for free to all users.
- To claim the new Monster Energy skin, players simply have to visit the Activision page, log in, and the skin will be automatically added to their account.
- Prime Gaming members can also claim the Raceway 2080 bundle.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has released a Monster Energy-themed operator skin that can be used in Warzone as well. The new skin can be claimed by all Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone users and is not locked behind a battle pass.
It's not often that Call of Duty releases a free skin for all users, although the franchise does often release "free" skins for those subscribed to certain subscription services like Amazon Prime. Recently, Prime Gaming members were given a free Call of Duty bundle that gave them an operator skin, blueprint, and other cosmetics. Unfortunately, this bundle is no longer available, but Prime members can currently claim the Raceway 2080 bundle for Warzone and Modern Warfare 2 (items will carry forward to Modern Warfare 3) and the Locus Side Swindler blueprint for Call of Duty Mobile. However, the availability of Call of Duty's newest offering casts a much wider net.
Call of Duty fans can claim the new Monster Energy skin by visiting the Activision website and logging into their Activision account. After following the link and logging in, players will automatically be granted the new skin, called The Beast. It depicts an individual wearing a motocross-like helmet in a Monster Energy-colored outfit, complete with green, purple, and black coloring. It's not clear how long the free offer will be available, but in the meantime, players have additional Monster Energy-themed content that they can unlock.
How to Unlock Call of Duty's Free Monster Energy Skin
- Go to the Activision page for the promotion
- Log in to Activision account
- Skin will automatically be added to Call of Duty account
Back in November, Call of Duty launched its Monster Energy rewards promotion, which allows users to submit codes taken from their Monster Energy cans purchased before January 1 to earn Monster-themed blueprints, operator skins, other cosmetics, and double XP tokens. Fans need to submit seven codes to unlock all of the promotion's content, although only two codes need to be submitted before a user earns the first operator skin. This promotion is still live and will run until March 31.
Call of Duty's Warhammer 40K Crossover
It seems that Call of Duty fans might have other additions to look forward to after a recent Modern Warfare 3 leak revealed Warhammer 40K skins in the game's files, which might be added later in Season 2 as part of a crossover event with the popular franchise. The two datamined skins depicted hulking Space Marines, which look surprisingly, but fittingly, big in Call of Duty's engine.
This leak followed a previous one that revealed additional Warhammer 40K-themed content within Call of Duty's files. However, it's important to note that this potential crossover event is still unannounced, so it's possible that it will launch later than Season 2.
