Season 5 for Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone is approaching its midpoint. While the titular season’s launch brought a wealth of additional content into the game, along with a steady stream of weekly updates, an even bigger update is on the horizon with the arrival of Season 5 Reloaded.
Season 5 introduced original 6v6 maps like Bait and Yard, meta weapons such as the STG44 and the Static-HV, and saw the return of the fan-favorite POI, Superstore, in Warzone Urzikstan. Now that Season 5 is nearing its halfway point, it's time to look ahead to the next major content drop. While fans may be anticipating the inevitable release of Season 5 Reloaded, Activision has finally revealed when fans can expect the mid-season update to be released across all platforms.

What to Expect For Call of Duty: MW3 & Warzone Season 5 Reloaded
August 21 will be a big day for Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer fans, as the game will receive three additional modes: Fishfection, Paintball, and Defuse or Destroy, each offering a unique twist on standard Core Multiplayer modes like Infected, Kill Confirmed, and Search & Destroy. Alongside these new modes, players can explore a cel-shaded variant of the Stash House map called Ink House. For those more interested in weapons, the Spear and Torque 35 Compound Bow will make their debut, both available for free — the Spear through the Battle Pass and the Torque 35 as a Weekly Challenge reward. Additionally, more weekly Aftermarket Parts will be introduced, including the JAK Devastators for the Reclaimer 18 and the JAK Deathmarch for the BAL-27.
In Warzone, fans can look forward to Supreme Resurgence, a new game mode that amps up regular Resurgence with modifiers like meta-inspired weapon builds as ground loot, a higher price for loadout drops, and increased health for all Operators. The mid-season update also introduces Elite Contracts, challenging players to complete tasks within a short time frame for high-value rewards such as the Foresight Killstreak, weapons, the Specialist Perk Package, and an Advanced UAV. Additionally, the Recon Flyover Public Event makes its debut, along with more premium rewards arriving in the Keep for Warzone Mobile.
But that's not all, as Modern Warfare Zombies will also receive its major update that will see the conclusion of the Modern Warfare Zombies storyline. For fans dropping into Urzikstan on August 21, look for the final Story Mission, which will send players back to another Dark Aether exclusion zone to take on challenging objectives. On top of a brand-new Story Mission, fans who complete it will also be able to open up another Dark Aether Rift, one which allows players to earn even more rewards, including powerful Schematics like the Disciple Bottle, the Grenade Bandolier, and Stash Increase.
