For that reason, devs keep making fresh content for this mode with each new Call of Duty season, ensuring players don't get bored with gunning down hordes of the undead. Throughout these years, one of the consistent elements in the Zombies maps has been the Mystery Box, a container that conjures up a random weapon for the player to use. Recently, one passionate fan showed a real-world Mystery Box, bringing the iconic in-game item to life.
One Call of Duty Zombies Horror Crossover Would Be a Match Made in Heaven
Call of Duty has seen its fair share of crossovers in the last few years, but there's one horror franchise that would be a match made in heaven.
In a Reddit post, user cruzer58b showcased their Mystery Box replica gifted by their fiancé. The full-size wooden box accurately represents the in-game item found in certain Call of Duty maps, complete with a pair of big yellow question marks. Similar to the one found in Zombies maps, it also comes equipped with a lock for securing the box. Notably, there are thin black handles on both ends of the container. As an added detail, the fan-made Mystery Box sports certain relevant text stamped on it, including the words "Prestige Master," which is the highest rank obtainable in Call of Duty games. In one of the replies, cruzer58b revealed plans to equip the box with enhancements, such as a speaker to play the Mystery Box sound as featured in the game. Moreover, they said that they may eventually use the wooden casket to store their games and COD-related collectibles.
Fan-Made Call of Duty Mystery Box Earns Praise from Other Players
The life-sized Mystery Box built by the longtime Call of Duty player's fiancé generated considerable interest in the blackops6 subreddit. Most comments heaped praise on the efforts put into the box, with one of them calling it "pretty cool." Similar to this, several other creations have previously wowed the game's fans on the internet. For instance, a Call of Duty fan's recreation of the poster found in one of the Zombies maps received quite a lot of views on Reddit as well.
Recently, Call of Duty Black Ops 6's Season 2 went live, adding a plethora of new content to the game, ranging from new weapons to a new Zombies map.
