It's been confirmed that the 2025 Call of Duty NEXT event will take place on Tuesday, September 30, giving fans a closer look at the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is scheduled to launch on November 14 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X, and while fans have gotten some looks at the game's campaign, they're still waiting to see substantial Zombies and multiplayer gameplay.

The Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 campaign sounds rather ambitious. Narratively serving as a direct sequel to the beloved Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Black Ops 7 features fan-favorite characters, trippy dreamscapes that open the door to out-of-the-box set-pieces, and a wild new 32-player endgame activity for those that get to the end of the story. Black Ops 7 also features 4-player co-op - a feature that has been missing from the franchise since 2015's Black Ops 3.

When is Call of Duty NEXT 2025?

The campaign is just one piece of the Call of Duty puzzle every year. Fans are no doubt anxious to learn more about multiplayer and Zombies, and luckily, they know exactly when to expect all the details. The 2025 Call of Duty NEXT event is taking place on September 30 and will reveal many more details about the Black Ops 7 multiplayer and Zombies experiences. So far, we know that multiplayer will feature 16 6v6 maps, including some remastered arenas from Black Ops 2, and a new 20v20 mode called Skirmish with its own maps. The multiplayer content that will be included in the Black Ops 7 open beta will likely be revealed at Call of Duty NEXT as well, so fans should keep an eye out. Zombies, meanwhile, will see the new characters introduced in Black Ops 6 meet up with the original Zombies gang with a round-based set-up and the return of Dead Ops Arcade.

While Black Ops 7 will likely be the main focus of Call of Duty NEXT this year, it won't be the only game at the show.
