Raven Software has announced that one of the newest Call of Duty: Warzone 2 feature added in the Season Three Reloaded update, the ability to stow perk packages in backpacks, was disabled due to being highly exploitable. Warzone 2 players have been running into game breaking issues that prevent them from enjoying the game, and this situation doesn't appear to be changing anytime soon.Since Warzone 2's initial launch in November 2022, players have encountered a number of strange bugs that gave others an unfair advantage. As an example, Warzone 2's returning Intervention gun suffered from an odd glitch that prevented the sniper rifle from working as intended. Some players have also encountered a strange glitch that allowed them to throw guns instead of grenades. Every major update has brought with it new glitches that require developers to disable certain weapons and features. Fortunately, Raven Software and Infinity Ward are quick to address the issues with hotfixes and more sizable updates.RELATED: Call of Duty: Warzone 2 Bug Allows Players to Vanish Into Walls Raven Software announced via Twitter that the ability to strow perk packages in backpacks has been removed, saying that this will prevent cunning players from abusing the Resupply Perk. Players had been able to swap these packages in and out of their backpacks, which caused one specific perk to be exploitable. Call of Duty: Warzone 2 streamer HusKerrs released a video to show that these broken perk packages could be used to receive unlimited throwable items with the Resupply Perk.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 added perk packages as ground loot in Season 3 Reloaded, which can be collected through killing enemies or at a buy station. If players loot eliminated opponents when they already have a perk package, it gives them another one that can easily be used to get infinite lethal items thanks to the Resupply Perk. Unfortunately, restocking these packages helped some players take easy wins in ranked matches. Call of Duty: Warzone 2 first introduced perk packages on its launch, and now players can select their own combinations to create powerful loadouts.

Raven Software has not yet revealed a return date for the new feature. However, it promises the issue will permanently be addressed very soon. Though this doesn't seem to be a game-breaking bug, it can help players climb up the ranks in Warzone 2's ranked play if not resolved. Besides, the reaction from players in the comments is overwhelmingly positive, with some claiming that this is a great patch to balance the game by fixing the ability to have an endless amount of lethal equipment items.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is now available to play on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
