Call of Duty: Warzone developer Raven Software has patched a popular exploit that was allowing players to drop their custom loadout in the pre-game lobby and re-obtain the weapons once the match had begun. A small update for Call of Duty: Warzone was released on May 5, which fixes the issue and prevents players from dropping their loadouts in the pre-game lobby.
The exploit made its way into Warzone with the launch of Call of Duty's Season 3 Reloaded update, which kicked off on May 1 with new content for both Black Ops 6 and Warzone. The highly anticipated mid-season refresh brought two new Multiplayer maps to Black Ops 6 and a Directed Mode for the latest Zombies map, Shattered Veil. A new "High Art" event also went live with Season 3 Reloaded, allowing players to unlock many new rewards in Black Ops 6 and Warzone. The event will be live in both titles until May 15, with a new Ladra SMG, a Mini-Rocket conversion kit for the Goblin Mk2, and much more.

Call of Duty: Warzone’s nostalgia-fueled return underscores Apex Legends’ need for a defining moment to revive its fading momentum.
Warzone Update Patches Popular Exploit
With so many changes being made to Warzone with Season 3 Reloaded, a rather severe exploit managed to find its way into the game, allowing players to drop their custom loadouts in a pre-game lobby and then retrieve the loadout in-game. As many Warzone players will be well aware, obtaining a custom loadout can be the difference between a win and a loss, so getting it as soon as possible can be a game-changer. However, Raven Software has now patched the exploit in a new update released on May 5. After downloading and installing the patch, players will be unable to drop their custom loadouts during the pre-game lobby.
While many players have been focused on the various bugs, glitches, and exploits that Season 3 Reloaded brought with it, others have been debating the return of a classic Warzone feature: exterior rooftop ascenders. Initially, many were uncertain if ascenders were actually returning with the mid-season update, but the official patch notes quickly shut those rumors down.
Ascenders were initially available in Season 5 of Verdansk, but were left absent when the map returned with Season 3 earlier this month. The divisive feature allows players to scale certain buildings quickly and easily, adding a new element that can completely change Warzone's gameplay. While some believe the game is better without them, others think they were an excellent addition for Season 3 Reloaded.
Season 3 Reloaded's new High Art event also sparked controversy among Call of Duty players, as many are seemingly tired of all of the weed-themed cosmetic items and operators. The event not only added some psychedelic new modes to Warzone and Black Ops 6, but also brought Hollywood actor Seth Rogen to the shooter as a new operator.
