Activision has announced that the Atlas Superstore point of interest from the fan-favorite Verdansk map will soon return in the Urzikstan map during Season 5 of Call of Duty: Warzone. Season 5 will begin on July 24 and add a slew of new content for both Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 4 Reloaded is winding down this month, and Activision has begun to tease some of the new content arriving soon in Season 5. Like previous updates, the Season 5 update will introduce a number of limited-time modes, weapons and maps, balance adjustments, and much more for both of the latest Call of Duty games on July 24. In addition, a crossover between Warzone and WWE will be held in Season 5.
The official Call of Duty Twitter account confirmed that Verdansk's Atlas Superstore POI will be added to the Urzikstan map in Warzone Season 5 next week. New gameplay footage was shown in a TV advertisement spoof released by the Twitter account, with an Atlas Superstore employee giving a rundown of what Warzone players should expect in this location. Similar to its Verdansk counterpart, players may parachute down onto the roof of the Atlas Superstore in Urzikstan and make their way into the building, where intense gunfights await them. Warzone players can also zipline to the Atlas Superstore from the outside to catch their opponents by surprise and claim valuable loot drops inside the building. However, players can place claymores and other explosives near the supermarket's many entry points.
Call of Duty: Warzone Confirms Atlas Superstore from Verdansk is Coming to Urzikstan in Season 5
Many Call of Duty fans on Twitter are excited about the return of the Atlas Superstore POI, but others are also getting impatient about the return of the Verdansk map in Warzone. Since Atlas Superstore is making its return, some Warzone players speculate that more Verdansk POIs will be integrated into Urzikstan before the iconic Warzone map is added to the game. Leaks suggest Verdansk will be added back to Warzone in 2025 after the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
Activision will likely reveal more details about Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 5 soon, with patch notes to be released shortly before the update's launch.
