Given the references and surprise cameos within its predecessor in 2019, Star Wars Jedi Survivor may very well follow in the same footsteps. While a large majority of Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order included new characters in both heroes as Jedi and villains as Inquisitors, it led to the involvement of arguably two of the most popular characters in the Star Wars universe Darth Vader and Obi-Wan Kenobi.
With fans witnessing Cal Kestis destroy the Holocron at the end of Fallen Order, the intensity of the Jedi pursuit by the Galactic Empire would more than likely ramp up. As Jedi Survivor focuses on Cal's survival yet again as one of the last Jedi, there is no telling what fans could be in store for in terms of special appearances.
5 Obi-Wan Kenobi
While it was short-lived and did not occur in person for Cal, Greez, and Cere, the appearance of Obi-Wan in Jedi Fallen Order was one that left many fans surprised. Considering the game's place in the Star Wars timeline being set after Revenge of the Sith and Order 66, this was a very reasonable addition to the story.
With Star Wars Jedi Survivor set a decade after Revenge of the Sith and within the same time period of the Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney series, a full-fledged appearance from the Jedi veteran may very well suffice. Not only would this be pleasing for long-time fans of the franchise, but it would also bring the games much closer to both the TV series and movies increasing their level of relevancy and importance.
4 Darth Vader
The biggest surprise many players did not see coming within Jedi Fallen Order was the ending which featured a very short and terrifying boss battle against Darth Vader, after defeating the Second Sister Trilla. Calling this a boss encounter is subjective, as players stand absolutely no chance against the Sith Lord as the game forces them to retreat and survive his overwhelming power.
Given the plot of Star Wars Jedi Survivor, focusing on the Empire's pursuit of any remaining Jedi, seeing Darth Vader once again would be even more relevant this time around especially after the events of Obi-Wan Kenobi. If Vader is relentless in his search for his revenge against Obi-Wan along with the rest of the Inquisitors itching to dispose of the remaining Jedi, there is no reason why Vader would not show up yet again. While Vader is still more than likely far more formidable than Cal, it would be interesting to see how a second encounter between the pair would play out given Cal's improvements over the years within the timeline.
3 Young Luke Skywalker
Depending on the planets that are available and the chances of Tatooine being among them, the opportunity to see a young Luke Skywalker would be one of the most exciting cameos of all. With the ending of Obi-Wan Kenobi and the chance Obi-Wan appearing in person with Cal as aforementioned, it would be very fitting considering the timeline of both the game and TV series. This is also dependent on whether producers decide to have Cal Kestis' journey within the games be directly linked to the mainline entries.
While it most likely would not have any major significance on the game's overarching story, it would help to further establish Cal as a character by bringing his arc to a full circle in interactions with a Jedi Master, and the main character of the overarching Skywalker saga Luke.
2 Grogu 'Baby Yoda'
Despite the character's major presence within the current Disney series The Mandalorian, Grogu is another possible addition to Jedi Survivor and one that would leave fans excited, to say the least. Since Grogu is also one who survived the slaughtering during Order 66, the similarities between him and Cal are clear to see. While the likelihood of this happening is fairly low, it would be interesting to see or at the very least hear of Grogu in Jedi Survivor, especially since Cal has mentioned meeting Yoda when creating his first lightsaber.
This would provide more context in regard to Grogu's life before being rescued by Din Djarin many years later, and once again link the games with the mainline entries in both the TV shows and movies. If Respawn Entertainment chooses to double down on the idea of cameos and includes some of the most important characters in the franchise, fans could very well see Grogu appear.
1 Ahsoka Tano
Among the formidable survivors of Order 66 is Anakin Skywalker's former Padawan Ahsoka Tano. Considering fans' knowledge of Ahsoka going into hiding in its aftermath, it puts the character among Cal, Obi-Wan, and all the other Force-sensitive individuals across the galaxy. As there are more than likely going to be a plethora of new planets to visit, new locations to explore, and secrets to unfold, this is one that could leave fans delighted by giving the famous character more screen time.
Based on trailers and gameplay footage, Cal appears to be running into dangerous foes and enemies who are ready to neutralize him. While it could be argued against a Jedi who has gone into hiding being found, especially one with the skill set of Ahsoka, the chance for Respawn Entertainment to make this as believable as possible is very present.
Star Wars Jedi Survivor releases on April 28th on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
