Capcom announces a new Showcase Livestream event, revealing more news and details about upcoming games, including a 15-minute session dedicated to Monster Hunter Wilds. Capcom has been on a roll as of late, releasing not only a variety of well received titles, but also dipping back into the company's storied history to bring back classic games like the Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection.

Looking ahead, Capcom appears to have a strong lineup of games on the horizon to continue its momentum established by massively popular and milestone selling games like Resident Evil 4 Remake. The highly anticipated Monster Hunter Wilds is right around the corner, seemingly taking some of the best parts of World and Rise, mixing them together for a new gameplay experience. However, it's not just the Monster Hunter franchise that's on the way, and Capcom is holding a new livestream to showcase some of its upcoming content.

In a new announcement, Capcom confirmed plans for a Spotlight Livestream event taking place on February 4. The broadcast is planned to be 35 minutes in length and will be showcasing new details and information on upcoming titles like Capcom Fighting Collection 2 and Onimusha Way of the Sword, as well as existing titles like Street Fighter 6. Curiously, the previously released Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection Arcade Classics is also listed as being part of the show, which many have taken to mean there could be some sort of post-launch support or content being added.

However, Capcom Spotlight wasn't the only announcement the studio made, as it will be holding a special 15-minute Monster Hunter Wilds showcase right after. The presentation will feature producer Ryozo Tsujimoto, who is typically involved in these showcase events related to the franchise, and includes a new trailer and details regarding the second Open Beta test for Monster Hunter Wilds.

It's not too surprising that Monster Hunter Wilds is getting its own standalone showcase as Capcom is expecting big things when it launches on February 28. In fact, the company's net profits have been down in the current fiscal year, though the company is expecting that to completely turn around once Wilds launches. Currently, Monster Hunter Wilds leads a big February release calendar, though with another open beta test just weeks before release, Capcom is likely expecting the game to capitalize on that momentum and word of mouth to help it standout from other titles.
