At least six games under Warner Bros. Discovery's Cartoon Network Games and Adult Swim Games labels have recently been delisted digitally from various storefronts, including Steam and the Nintendo eShop. Each of these Cartoon Network games came with a message that they were removed by the publisher without much of a reason given. Gamers can no longer purchase these cult classic or fan favorite titles legally.
The delisting of these titles ties back into both Adult Swim Games and Cartoon Network Games' parent company, Warner Bros. Discovery. In recent times, Warner Bros. Discovery has shelved various nearly completed movies and delisted original films from streaming services in order to cut costs, with these efforts also affecting its video games as well. In March, several Adult Swim indie games were going to be delisted by Warner Bros. Discovery, which included Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality, Duck Game, and Fist Puncher, among others. While some Adult Swim games were no longer at risk of being delisted, others didn't receive any communication with Warner Bros. Discovery at the time, which resulted in another mass delisting.
Rumor: Warner Bros. Could Be Interested in Selling Its Video Game Business
After a series of financial downturns, Warner Bros may be looking at selling some of its major gaming assets to make back some of its debts.
As spotted by Wario64 on Twitter, at least five games were recently delisted from Steam, the Nintendo eShop, and other platforms on December 23. The mass delisting of Warner Bros. Published games includes Adventure Time: Finn and Jake's Epic Quest, Adventure Time: Magic Man's Head Games, OK K.O.! Let's Play Heroes, Steven Universe: Save the Light, and Steven Universe: Unleash the Light. 2020's Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time has also been removed from sale. On Steam, each of these removed games includes a short message that says each game "will no longer be available for sale after Dec. 23rd, 2024," signed by "Cartoon Network Games" or "Adult Swim Games."

Discovery haven't announced a reason as to why these games were being removed at this time.
Adventure Time: Finn and Jake's Epic Quest is the oldest game that is being delisted, first being released in April 2014. Steven Universe: Save the Light and OK K.O. Let's Play Heroes were both released in 2018, while Steven Universe: Unleash the Light was released in 2021. This move follows a similar mass delisting in March 2024, but thanks to public outcry, many Adult Swim games were saved. Fans have decried Warner Bros. For removing these games without warning, especially Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time, as that essentially held the canonical ending to the show's fifth season.
