Steam users have until Monday, October 27, to claim Chained Echoes, one of the highest-rated RPGs of the 2020s, for just $10. A similar discount for the complete edition of Chained Echoes, which includes the base game and the Ashes of Elrant DLC, is also available until October 27 for players to consider.

Originally released in December 2022 on Steam and modern consoles, Chained Echoes is considered a love letter to some of the best RPGs of the SNES and PS1 eras, such as C hrono Trigger, Final Fantasy 6, and The Legend of Dragoon. Chained Echoes features 16-bit pixel art and turn-based combat, with no random enemy encounters since enemies can be visibly seen on the screen. The title was created by German indie game developer Matthias Linda, also known as Umami Tiger, who started working on the project as a hobby in 2015 before launching a Kickstarter campaign in 2019.

Chained Echoes Is a Steal for $10 on Steam Until October 27

Nearly three years after its global launch, players interested in trying out a new RPG can experience the highly recommended Chained Echoes at a tempting price. Steam users can now purchase Chained Echoes for $9.99 until Monday, October 27, a 60% discount from its standard price of $24.99. The discount applies to the base version of Chained Echoes, which includes approximately 30 to 40 hours of story content for players to enjoy. As for what players can expect from their $10 purchase, Chained Echoes takes place in a medieval land called Valandis, where both magical creatures and giant mechanical robots are considered commonplace. The main plot of Chained Echoes centers on an escalating war between Valandis' major kingdoms and an ensemble cast of characters that players will encounter throughout the story, which unfolds across four acts.

Exploring a town's market - Chained Echoes

Along with the base version of Chained Echoes, players can also pick up the Ashes of Elrant expansion for $8.49, a 15% discount from its usual $9.99. This discount comes just two months after Ashes of Elrant was released on August 7 on all platforms. Additionally, users can save more money by purchasing Chained Echoes: Complete Edition for $16.63 on Steam, which includes the base game and the Ashes of Elrant expansion. Ergo, buying both as a bundle saves 10% compared to separate purchases, which would otherwise be $18.48 until October 27.

Currently, Chained Echoes holds a 90% positive rating on Steam. Between its callbacks to past RPGs and a unique leveling system that gives players different ways to customize their characters and skills, picking up Chained Echoes for $10 is something fans of the genre should not miss out on.
