How to Play Local Co-Op

Chained Together throws you into a world of chaotic adventure. As such, local Co-Op allows you and your friends to play without having any internet access. Here are all the things you need to know about playing Local Co-Op in Chained Together:

Player Limit

Although it is possible to play the game solo as well, Chained Together offers local co-op for up to four players. You can use a mix of controllers as well as keyboard and mouse setups, allowing everyone to play comfortably. Make sure each player has their preferred device plugged in and ready to go.

Firing Up Local Co-Op

To play the game in Local Co-Op mode, here is what you need to do:

  • Load Up The Game: Start Chained Together from your Steam library or shortcut.
  • Enter The Main Menu: Navigate to the main menu and look for “local co-op”.
  • Start The Lobby: Once you’ve selected the Local co-op, you’ll be directed to the main lobby, load up all the players, and select the map, difficulty, and modes.

Splitting The Screen

Once you’ve selected to play local co-op, the game activates its split-screen mode. It will automatically adjust itself to accommodate the number of players. You’ll find prompts to assign controllers.

Make sure each player is assigned the right character, or it may cause you to re-do the process.

Configuring The Game

Double-check your controller compatibility with the game. It is recommended to use an Xbox controller for most PC games, as it is highly compatible with them. Connect your controllers via Bluetooth for the best experience and avoid using third-party applications to connect controllers, as they often cause connectivity issues or input lag.

You can set up all four controllers, but you will still need a keyboard and mouse to select many options throughout the game. If you’re using keyboards, you can customize your keybindings in the settings menu to enhance your gameplay experience.
