Summary
- Fujimoto recommends new horror manga, "I Want to Be Killed by Someone Beautiful Like You"
- Other mangaka recommendations boost sales, like Kohei Horikoshi's for Ichi the Witch
- Chainsaw Man movie news to be revealed at AnimeJapan 2025, with potential global release.
Chainsaw Man author Tatsuki Fujimoto is recommending a new horror manga. It's not uncommon for mangaka to eventually recommend works from other creators — be it because their publishers ask them to or because they really want to. Chainsaw Man creator is no exception, and he has previously recommended series like Chaos Game and School Back.
Recently, Kohei Horikoshi (My Hero Academia) recommended Ichi the Witch when the first volume was out. Ichi the Witch was already expected to have great sales, but it is believed that Horikoshi boosted it even more. Another example is Frieren: the character recommended an elf-themed manga, and sales saw a spike.

Fujimoto Recommends Manga That Started in December 2024
Anyway, Tatsuki Fujimoto recommended a manga titled Kirei na Kimi ni Korosaretai, which could be translated as I Want to Be Killed by Someone Beautiful Like You. This manga is not officially published in English, but fans call it I Want to Be Killed by Your Beautiful Self.
It started serialization on December 24, 2024. The recommendation is featured in the obi of the first volume, which will be released on March 14. A photo of the volume was recently posted online, featuring the obi:
Fujimoto's message on the obi is, "I like men who smell like danger."
This horror manga is written by Roka Kouen (probably a pen name) and illustrated by Tsukasa Yoshino. It is published online on Ichijin-plus, under the Comic Howl label. The story follows Sei Tomoaki, whose life suddenly changes after he reunites with Amawashi Hajime, an old friend.
A few weeks ago, Yoshino posted a video on her personal YouTube channel drawing a chapter of the series:
Chainsaw Man Anime Set to Deliver News in March
Chainsaw Man fans who are waiting for news about the Reze movie should look forward AnimeJapan 2025, as it has already been confirmed that information about the movie will be revealed during the event.
It is likely that a new trailer will be unveiled, and the exact release date will be announced. So far, it has only been confirmed that the movie will premiere this year. While the Reze arc is short enough to fit into a movie, the next arc should be adapted as Season 2, but this is yet to be confirmed.
For now, there is no information about the international release of the movie, but, given that most Shonen Jump movies are planned with a global audience in mind, there is a high chance that it will debut in theaters in many countries around the world.
Crunchyroll will probably release in select countries where the service is available, such as the US, European countries, the UK, Latin American countries, South Africa, India and also Australia and New Zealand. However, the service hasn't yet confirmed anything. Other distributors may release the movie in many other countries.
Chainsaw Man is available to stream on Crunchyroll, subbed and dubbed in many languages.
