How To Watch Chicago Med Season 10, Episode 21, "Baby Mine..."

Mitch Ripley (Luke Mitchell) and Hannah Asher (Jessy Schram) on Chicago Med

Chicago Med season 10, episode 20, "Baby Mine..." Will air on NBC on Wednesday, May 14th, 2025 at 8 p.m. E.T. If fans miss this episode of Chicago Med when it airs, they can stream it on Peacock the next day, Thursday, May 15th, 2025.

The official description for the episode reads:

"Maggie and Frost fight to get a pair of lungs for a young cystic fibrosis patient; Asher learns whether she can become a surrogate; Ripley and Morris treat a tech billionaire's daughter as she battles leukemia."

There are two episodes left in Chicago Med season 10, and it sounds like episode 21 will focus on two heartbreaking medical cases: a patient with cystic fibrosis and another one with cancer. Of course, there is rarely a dull scene on the popular hospital-set series, and the doctors never have a smooth or easy time when treating patients. As the description explains, Maggie Lockwood (Marlyne Barrett) and Dr. John Frost have a hard time helping a patient who needs new lungs. It also seems likely that Dr. Mitch Ripley (Luke Mitchell) and Dr. Jordan Morris (Lee Jones) will run into issues trying to save their patient.

The next episode will also continue a storyline from episode 19. At the end of "The Stories We Tell Ourselves," Hannah Asher (Jessy Schram) told her sister she could become a surrogate for her. Now, Hannah will find out if that's possible. Since season 10 is ending so soon, it seems likely that this plotline could lead to a cliffhanger, and maybe fans won't learn more until season 11 is underway.

Chicago Med Season 10, Episode 21 Will Be Another Moving And Powerful Episode

Hannah (Jessy Schram) and Lizzie (Erin Anderson) on Chicago Med

Each episode of Chicago Med season 10 has put major characters in peril and that trend will likely continue with episode 21, which promises some upsetting and captivating medical storylines.

In 2024, according to The Hollywood Reporter, co-showrunners Andrew Schneider and Diane Frolov left, which was a big change since they had worked on the series since the pilot episode. Showrunner Allen MacDonald joined in season 10, and he explained his approach to the NBC medical drama in an interview with TV Line in September 2024. MacDonald said:

"I wanted to continue what had already kind of been set up as a foundation of the show: to tell really emotional, medicine-driven stories that have a real human underpinning to them, because something that I like to do and that this show has always done very well is to make people cry."

MacDonald added:

"I could hop onboard this train that is already running so smoothly and bring my brand of emotional storytelling to the table."

A medical drama is only as good as its characters, and thankfully, shows like Chicago Med, Grey's Anatomy, The Pitt, E.R., and The Good Doctor have well-written, strong-willed, ambitious, and complicated doctors. Fans of hospital shows are cheering that The Pitt will have a second season, and they're also glad they can enjoy two more episodes of Chicago Med this season.
